Woman, 33, and man, 38, appear in court accused of having sex with a dog ‘on no fewer than five occasions’


A man and woman have appeared in court after allegedly having sex with a dog at least five times.

Graham Marshall, 38, and Paige Reaney, 33, are accused of causing unnecessary suffering to a dog called Charlie by ‘regularly subjecting him to habitual sexual activity’.

The charge is said to relate to sexual activity which is alleged to have occurred on ‘no fewer than five occasions’ between August 2019 and December 2022.

They also face a charge of failing to protect him from pain and suffering caused by habitual sexual activity.

Marshall, of no fixed address, is charged with aiding and abetting Reaney to have sexual intercourse with a dog.

Reaney is charged with an offence relating to ‘causing or allowing’ sexual intercourse with the same dog.

Marshall is also charged with one count of voyeurism and three counts of possessing extreme pornographic images relating to sexual acts involving an animal.

He also faces eight counts of making indecent photographs/pseudo-photographs of children, including some said to be Category A, the most serious.

Reaney, of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, is also charged with one count of possessing extreme pornographic images relating to sexual acts involving an animal.

Neither defendant entered a plea during a brief hearing at Sheffield Crown Court Tuesday morning.

Judge Sarah Wright granted them both bail on the condition they do not contact each other and they don’t have ownership or care for any animal.

She told them: ‘There’s going to be a further hearing of your case on October 3. You must attend court on October 3, failure to do so is a criminal offence.’

A provisional trial date was fixed for June 2026.
