Commanders VP is SUSPENDED after branding his own team’s black players ‘homophobic,’ calls NFL stars ‘dumb as hell’ and labels fans ‘alcoholics’ in damning video secretly recorded on a date

The Washington Commanders organization has suspended a member of staff after he was caught making controversial and damning comments about the NFL, its players and its fans. 

Rael Enteen, the Vice President of Content for the Washington DC franchise, was secretly filmed during a date with an undercover reporter, making shocking claims about the team’s players and fanbase. 

Enteen, who has worked for the Commanders for four years, was caught branding the team’s black players ‘homophobic.’ 

He told the O’Keefe Media journalist, ‘A big chunk [of the Commanders roster] is very low-income African-Americans that comes from a community that is inherently very homophobic.’ 

‘I love hip-hop, hip-hop is very homophobic,’ he added. ‘It’s a cultural thing that I hope gets better.’

‘The language used in the video runs counter to our values at the Commanders organization,’ a Commanders spokesperson told DailyMail.com in a statement. 

‘We have suspended the employee pending an internal investigation and will reserve further comment at this time.’ 

Enteen’s accusations of homophobia extended beyond the team’s black community as he also claimed that 50 percent of the roster is white and religious, suggesting they are also homophobic in accordance with Christian anti-LGBTQIA+ teachings. 

Not only did Enteen claim that players were homophobic but he also branded many throughout the league as ‘dumb’, suggesting that the physical impact of the game actually leads to the deterioration of their intelligence. 

‘There’s obviously a spectrum. There’s some that are dumb as all hell and there are others that are very smart,’ he said during what appeared to be a second date.

‘I think there’s also a real sad but true reality that some start smart and they get hit in the head so much that they don’t stay smart.’   

His attacks didn’t stop at the players. Enteen also took aim at the Commanders fanbase and fans throughout the NFL, labeling them ‘mouth breathers.’

‘Most of the NFL fans I would say, are high school educated alcoholics,’ he told the anonymous reporter. 

He continued to characterize football supporters as ‘violent’ due to the frequent brawls in the stands at games. 

Enteen went on to slam the NFL’s social justice initiatives, such as the league’s commitment to ‘Black Lives Matter, Pride, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, as ‘performative’ for the sake of good publicity.

He accused a ‘chunk’ of Washington’s roster as being homophobic and called players dumb

‘It’s to make as much money as possible,’ he alleged. 

Not only did he criticize the league’s initiatives but Enteen also denounced NFL commissioner Roger Goodell as a ‘$50million puppet.’ 

He suggested that Goodell is controlled by NFL owners, accusing Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, of really pulling the strings. 

He also alleged that Jones harbors racist and homophobic biases. ‘I think he hates gay people and black people,’ he said. 

Enteen joined the Commanders in 2020 as a Senior Director of Content Strategy before being promoted to Vice President of Content in April 2022. 

He previously worked for the New York Jets for two years between 2016 and 2018 as the Director of Digital and Social Media. 

The controversy comes just over a year into the new Josh Harris-led ownership of the franchise following the tumultuous, scandal-laden tenure of Dan Snyder. 

Snyder sold the franchise last year for a reported $6billion in July 2023 following years of controversy.

Enteen also denounced NFL commissioner Roger Goodell as a ‘$50million puppet’

The long-time Redskins fan splurged $800 million for the club in 1999, but failed to build a successful culture in Washington amid battles with executives, minority partners, local government officials, the NFL, media and, most of all, disgruntled fans.

Whereas the Redskins were perennial contenders throughout the 60s, 70s, 80s, and into the early 1990s, Snyder’s erratic decisions led to instability and massive turnover.

The team had 27 starting quarterbacks during the Snyder era, as well as 10 head coaches and a .427 winning percentage.

Throughout Snyder’s tenure, the team has been criticized for its now-former nickname, the Redskins, which is considered offensive to Native Americans.

Snyder fought the change for years, but Washington finally dropped the ‘Redskins’ name in 2020 under a wave scrutiny amid the George Floyd protests.

That change – first to the placeholder ‘Washington Football Team’ and then to ‘Commanders’ – also angered many fans and conservatives.

But the problems didn’t end there for Snyder.

Sexual harassment allegations against team employees ranged from inappropriate comments to the creation of a lewd behind-the-scenes video from a cheerleader calendar shoot in 2008, according to the 2020 Washington Post report that first uncovered the claims.

Snyder is also accused of telling one cheerleader to visit a hotel room with his friend so they ‘could get to know each other better,’ and inappropriately touching a female employee at a team dinner – both of which, he has denied.

The NFL has since launched a second sexual harassment investigation into the team to verify subsequent claims of misbehavior, including former team employee Tiffani Johnston’s allegation that Snyder grabbed her thigh at a team dinner and pressured her to get into a limousine.

Snyder has denied this claim.
