Is Taylor Swift at Chiefs? Fans eager for Travis Kelce’s girlfriend NFL return

Taylor Swift elevated the NFL to new heights last season.

As the 2024 campaign kicks off on Thursday, several questions top the list, including whether Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs can become the first team in league history to win three consecutive Super Bowls.

But no question is more pressing on opening night than the one that passionate Swifties have been asking for months.

Will Tay Tay attend her boyfriend’s first game?

The answer appeared to be yes as kickoff approached, with multiple reports stating that the international pop music superstar — who recently took over Wembley Stadium with eight sellout concerts — will be in the crowd as Travis Kelce‘s crew faces Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium.

Swift made the Chiefs home field her second home in 2023, rocking suites while hanging out with everyone from Donna and Ed Kelce to Brittany, Jackson and Pat Mahomes.

By the time that Kansas City won its second consecutive Super Bowl in Las Vegas, Swift was kissing Travis on the field, while Swifties were deciphering song lyrics and internet posts for clues to their very public relationship.

The Swift-Kelce machine went into overdrive for Super Bowl LVIII, as the “Bad Blood” singer crossed the globe and entered Allegiant Stadium just in time for kickoff.

Andy Reid‘s team held on for a tough 25-22 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in overtime, creating a fairytale-like season for Swift and the Chiefs.

Seven months later, Kelce is stressing that he’s still committed to the Chiefs, Mahomes is drawing Tom Brady comparisons, and Kansas City is being used by the NFL to kick off the 2024 season.

The Chiefs withstood a worldwide microscope last season, then rode the surreal Swift wave to again end up on top of the world.

Louis-Rees Zammit wasn’t deemed good enough to make Kansas City’s Week 1 roster, but Reid still has everything he needs to add another trophy to Kansas City’s dynasty case.

There will be questions day after day and week after week surrounding everything that Kansas City does — even the team’s future home stadium is undetermined.

There’s also no way to stop the Chiefs if Reid can again keep Swift’s favorite team dancing and partying among all the outside noise.

Reid has previously said that he isn’t tired of Swift following the Chiefs everywhere.

In fact, the 66-year-old coach appears to be the biggest supporter of the relationship between his Pro Bowl tight end and Swift.

Reid joked last year that he deserved credit for introducing the two.

“I’ve met her before,” Reid said. “I set them up.”

After the Chiefs beat the Ravens in the AFC Championship to reach the Super Bowl, he pointed out Swift from a celebratory stage.

Swift was seen pointing back at Big Red in a hilarious moment shared between the two and instantly viewed by millions.

Swift’s name became so linked to the Chiefs last season that the NFL was forced to issue a statement defending a social media bio.

“We frequently change our bios and profile imagery based on what’s happening in and around our games, as well as culturally,” the NFL said.

“The Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce news has been a pop cultural moment we’ve leaned into in real time, as it’s an intersection of sport and entertainment, and we’ve seen an incredible amount of positivity around the sport.”

Kelce followed up on his New Heights podcast by saying that the league had been over the top in making Swift the center of attention during NFL games.

“I think they’re overdoing it a little bit for sure, especially my situation,” he said.

Before the Super Bowl in Vegas, Swift added more than $300 million in brand value for the Chiefs and NFL, according to Front Office Sports.

If it all goes well for Swift on Thursday night, she has another chance to support the Chiefs in Week 2.

Kansas City again plays at Arrowhead on September 15 against Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.

The NFL is back.

And Swifites are wondering where the league’s biggest name is.
