Dame Joan Collins is a Swiftie! Dynasty star, 91, brands singer, 34, ‘iconic’ as she takes fashion inspiration from her Eras Tour outfits for Harper’s Bazaar Arabia shoot

She’s been a style icon for seven decades, now Dame Joan Collins is taking an unlikely lead from Gen Z’s pop queen Taylor Swift – as she officially confirms she is a Swiftie.

The 91-year-old actress stunned in a new photoshoot for Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, as she wore six sumptuous gowns.

And it seems the Dynasty star has been inspired by Taylor Swift, with a number of her luxurious outfits bearing a remarkable resemblance to the singer’s own wardrobe.

Branding the 34-year-old songstress ‘iconic’, Dame Joan posed in a baby blue sheer gown designed by Beirut fashion house Reem Kachmar.

It bore a striking likeness to a custom blue Alberta Ferretti dress that Swift wore during her performances on her 152-date global Eras tour, which ended last month.

Even though they are separated by almost six decades in age, they are united in their love of a sparkly purple number. 

While Dame Joan opted for a floor-length dress by Syrian fashion designer Rami Al-Ali during her shoot, Swift tends to go for a shorter cut when she wears her purple sequined dresses at her gigs.

In another shot, Dame Joan applied lipstick wearing a bright white dress by Lebanese American designer Rami Kadi, which looked a lot like a beautiful white Alberta Ferretti gown that Swift enjoys wearing on stage.

It wasn’t the only unlikely source of inspiration for the Hollywood Dame. The actress wore a buttoned up black and white jacket dress.

The jacket echoes the black and white Vivienne Westwood tailcoat worn by Swift in the highly popular Tortured Poets Department segment of her Eras Tour. 

But Swift opts for an unbuttoned look, paired with couture underwear from the same British designer.

The actress was so smitten by her new outfits, that she asked to keep all the bespoke-made gowns after the photo shoot.

‘She’s already got events planned in that she wants to wear them to,’ her publicist told the interviewer.

Dame Joan is also a fan of Swift’s healthy lifestyle and praised the Shake It Off hitmaker for her modesty.

She said: ‘Taylor Swift is iconic. She’s a good example of clean living. She doesn’t do overly suggestive things which, quite frankly – and I’m not naming names here – a lot of performers do these days.’

Dame Joan also listed other icons during the interview. She said: ‘Marilyn Monroe, absolutely.

‘Marlon Brando, who I find extraordinary that a lot of people don’t know who he is. Our late Queen Elizabeth, without question, who was just fantastic and a role model in every shape and form. 

‘And Ava Gardner, who was a beautiful woman and somebody who I emulated a lot physically when I played Alexis [Carrington in Dynasty].’

Joan looked sensational in an all white outfit as she spent time with Elizabeth Hurley and her son Damian in the south of France last month.

The actress showed off her age-defying good looks in an off the shoulder white ruffled dress on Sunday as she posed alongside the famous mother and son duo.

Joan posted the series of photos to her Instagram and made sure to include a loved-up snap with her husband, Percy Gibson, 59.

The pair, who have been married since 2002 smiled for the camera as they posed in each other’s arms.

The Golden Globe award winner wore a chic white dress and accessorised with large dangling pear land gold earrings and a matching ring.

She curled her dark brown hair and sported a bright red lipstick.

Her film producer husband donned a cream linen suit and black t shirt and the pair looked radiant as they stood in front of a fresco.

In another photo Joan and her husband posed beside Elizabeth, 59 and her model son, 22. 

The actress looked gorgeous in a plunging cream halterneck dress.

The brunette beauty accessorised with soft makeup and dangling earrings while her dark wavy hair fell around her shoulders.
