Jake Paul rips into NFL before end of Eagles vs Packers first quarter

Making it in the NFL is one of the toughest things to do as an athlete.

But Jake Paul doesn’t seem to think so after watching just the first quarter of the Philadelphia Eagles vs Green Bay Packers.

The two teams were kicking off their new season with a match in Brazil – the NFL’s first ever trip to the country.

Writing on social media, Paul said: “And this game proves why it’s going to be easy for me to go to the NFL.

“So much mediocrity, lack of professionalism, and very low IQ.”

Right now, the YouTuber-turned-boxer is focused on his activities in the ring.

He will fight Mike Tyson in November at the AT&T Stadium in Texas, hoping to add to his 10-1 record.

His only career defeat has been to Tommy Fury so far in a split decision loss.

It is not the first time Paul has spoken about playing in the NFL as he told his brother, Logan Paul, of these plans back in 2022.

Speaking on the Impaulsive podcast, Jake said: “I want to go to the NFL after this. Legitimately just to play safety and deck people. I swear to God.

“I’m about to bring hella ratings to whatever team I’m on.”

When asked what team he would play on, the Ohio native said: “The Browns. Would you ever think I’d play for the Cleveland Browns. That would be crazy.

“I can run a 4.3 40. I have the size, the speed and the power, so why can’t I play free safety.”

A number of former NFL players have tried to turn their hands at boxing after retiring, most recently former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell.

When asked if it was the same as him going to the NFL, he said: “No because I’ve played football my whole life.”
