Bet of the day

Belarus or draw double chance at 21/20

Luxembourg lost 2-0 in Belfast on Thursday and could struggle to justify favouritism when they host a Belarus side who can be difficult to beat on Sunday.

The visitors picked up a point at home to Bulgaria in their UEFA Nations League opener and, despite heavy home defeats to Russia and Israel in June, they have proved difficult to break down on their travels.

The visitors have lost just one of their last five trips, including a draw away to Switzerland and a 1-0 victory in Kosovo. They beat Luxembourg 2-0 away from home in their last meeting in 2018 and have lost only two of their 12 meetings with Sunday’s opponents, so back them to avoid defeat at Stade de Luxembourg.

Special of the day

Portugal over 2.5 total goals at 11/10

Scotland shipped three at home to Poland in their UEFA Nations League opener and could be in for another difficult evening in Lisbon on Sunday.

All three goals were the result of Scottish errors, and Portugal have the attacking talent to punish those defensive mistakes, with all-time leading international goalscorer Cristiano Ronaldo supported by Pedro Neto, Rafael Leao, Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Jota and Joao Felix.

The Selecao scored 36 goals in ten Euro 2024 qualifiers and have notched at least three goals in seven of their last ten home matches. With the Tartan Army having conceded 12 goals in their last five matches, expect Roberto Martinez’s men to bag a few in Lisbon.

Long shot of the day

Poland to beat Croatia at 10/3

Poland’s last trip to Croatia ended in a 1-0 victory back in 2006 and Michal Probierz’s side look good value to repeat that feat this Sunday.

The Vatreni were beaten by Portugal in their UEFA Nations League opener on Thursday and face a Poland side riding a wave of confidence following their last-gasp win at Hampden Park.

Croatia are a side in transition and missing some key figures, with defender Domagoj Vida and midfielder Marcelo Brozovic retiring after Euro 2024, while Nikola Vlasic, Lovro Majer, Josip Stanisic, and Josip Juranovic are all injured.
