Packers center VOMITS before snapping the ball but still manages to protect QB

The prospect of playing without injured quarterback Jordan Love for the foreseeable is enough to make Green Bay Packers’ fans stomachs turn.

Unfortunately for Packers center Josh Meyers, that quite literally happened during their Week 2 clash against the Indianapolis Colts.

During the first half, Myers and the rest of the Green Bay offensive line lined up around midfield ahead of a play.

However, as he was waiting for backup QB Malik Willis to make the call to snap the ball, the veteran lineman vomited to the left side of the ball.

Undeterred, he then made the snap to his signal caller and completed his job up front by stopping the blitz.

The Packers failed to get a first down but they at least avoided a negative play.

Fans caught wind of the footage of Myers vomiting and shared their reactions online.

“Intimidation tactic, that’s why he’s in the pros,” joked one fan.

“Coach is gonna be proud, ” commented another.

“Nahh ain’t no way,” posted a third.

The snap was part of an impressive first half for the Packers, who ran up at a 10-0 halftime lead against the Colts thanks to Willis and a strong rushing game.

The 25-year-old, formerly of the Tennessee Titans, was starting in place of Love who suffered a sprained MCL in the season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles last week.

The injury occurred in the final seconds the 34-29 defeat in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Love had gone 17-of-34 for 260 yards, two touchdowns and an interception before he was helped off the field.

Cheeseheads initially feared the worst and that Love, a pre-season MVP favorite, would be out for the season.

However, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Love is targeting a Week 5 return against the Los Angeles Rams.

The Packers only acquired Willis from the Titans in late August after their other QB Sean Clifford struggled in preseason.

Willis is a 2022 NFL Draft third-round selection who struggled in his first two seasons in Tennnesse.

His last start before Sunday’s contest against the Colts came on Christmas Eve 2022 in a 19-14 loss to the Houston Texans where he was 14 of 23 for 99 yards and two interceptions.

Willis was 1-2 as a starter in 17 career appearances heading into Sunday’s clash.

He was 35 of 67 for 350 yards, no TDs and three interceptions. He has previously scored on the ground, though, having rushed 32 times for 144 yards and one TD.
