Four people are shot including two NYPD cops at major subway station during horrific daylight gunfight

Four people were shot including two NYPD officers at a major subway station in Brooklyn during a horrific daylight gunfight.

The gunfight took place at Sutter Av Station in East New York, Brooklyn around 3pm. Officers at the scene are not sure if all the civilians who were shot are the suspects or if one or more were bystanders.

One officer was reported to have been shot on the right side of the torso.

One of the suspects was a woman who was reportedly struck in the head, the New York Post reported.

The officer is at the hospital and suspects are being detained. No outstanding suspects are being sought.

The New York City Police Department wrote on their X account: ‘Due to a police investigation, avoid the vicinity of Van Sinderen Avenue & Sutter Avenue in Brooklyn. Expect a police presence & traffic delays in the surrounding area.’

The power has been turned off on the northbound and southbound tracks from north of Atlantic to south of Rockaway, police said.

The New York City Police Department’s 75th precinct declined DailyMail.com’s request for comment
