Ezugi, owned by Evolution, obtains its license from GB Gambling Commission

Ezugi, live dealer gaming supplier has just received a licence that will allow it to offer its games in Great Britain. With this licence, Ezugi will offer 11 of its most popular game in the market for the first time in the UK. The games that Ezugi will offer include roulette, auto-roulette, baccarat, and blackjack.

Ezugi is owned by the software giant Evolution, one of the biggest and most popular software developers in the gambling industry. Pang Goh, business development director at Ezugi, claims ‘This is a very significant step for Ezugi and its growth. Our license is acquired under Evolution Malta Limited, and we are pleased to have our best games finally certified.’

Goh goes on to say that he believes that ‘UK operators will benefit from Ezugi’s expertise in not only localised content and markets, but also from our large and innovative games offering. We are looking forward to this next chapter and to provide our best performing games to UK players.’

Ezugi was acquired by Evolution, the live dealer giant, in 2018 in a deal that was worth $18m (£14.0m / €15.8m). At the time, Ezugi was Evolution’s only market competitor in the live casino space. Evolution is also the owner of NetEnt, Red Tiger, and Big Time Gaming.

Recently Evolution Gaming has reported a period of high activity, including a very strong global demand for live casino offerings, with their total operating revenues increasing by 97% to €276 million from €140 million in 2020. The group’s revenue increase was also accompanied by a 113% growth in EBITDA to €192.9 million from €90.7 million in 2020, with a margin of 69.9% from 64.8% in 2020, while total profits stood at €276 million from €79.4 million in 2020.

Evolution is looking at another stellar year in 2022, working with more top-tier operators than other providers in the gambling industry. They are standing at the top of the market when it comes to B2B online casino services. With the online casino marker in the U.S constantly growing, Evolution’s success will only keep rising. Evolution is planning to expand in Canada in 2022 as well as open up another live studio in Connecticut.
