Abbie Chatfield ditches Nova to bring her hit podcast to rival network SCA under Hamish & Andy’s producer – as she inks major deal to expand her brand with multiple shows


Former Bachelor star Abbie Chatfield is taking her hit podcast, It’s a Lot, to the next level. 

10 months after joining Nova Podcasts, the 26-year-old is ditching the network for rival LiSTNR, which is under SCA (Southern Cross Austereo).

Not only will SCA host and produce It’s a Lot, they will also create a brand new show for Abbie exclusively for their LiSTNR app.

‘Abbie is fast becoming one of this country’s fiercest and most important voices for a new generation of passionate audio fans, and her talent and star-power is rising sky-high,’ SCA Chief Content Officer, Dave Cameron, said in a statement. 

‘In addition to It’s A Lot continuing to be available on all platforms, Abbie will co-create an exclusive, new LiSTNR series with SCA in 2022 that will only be available on the LiSTNR platform.’

SCA are bringing out the big guns for Abbie, enlisting LiSTNR Head of Original Content Sam Cavanagh to produce It’s a Lot.

Cavanagh is best known for working with podcasting heavyweights like Will Anderson and Hamish Blake and Andy Lee.

Abbie launched her podcast in March, 2019, through Acast, before signing a deal with Nova Podcasts in January this year.

Things have been on the up and up for Abbie, with the reality star recently signing on as the official host of the Love Island Australia after show.

She’s also signed a book deal with Affirm Press for her first book, which tackle subjects like feminism and sex positivity. 

‘We’re beyond excited to have acquired television personality and The Bachelor star Abbie Chatfield’s debut book, So Let’s Unpack That!’ Affirm Press announced last tear.

‘With the acronym “SLUT”, Abbie’s book will be an entry-level handbook for young feminists,’ they continued.

Abbie said: ‘I want to arm the reader with the tools to question and challenge sexism that exists in everyday life, as well as larger concepts that pervade our society.’
