Ambrosio began her career as a model earlier in her life, and was featured on the cover of the Brazilian version of Elle during her teenage years.
She later featured in numerous fashion-related campaigns and walked runways for various brands, including Prada, Ralph Lauren, and Marc Jacobs.
The model’s first venture into clothing design came in 2004 in the form of a collaboration with the Brazil-based retailer Rosa Cha; the collection reportedly sold very well during its release.
