Angie Kent accidentally confirms she’ll be a contestant on this year’s Dancing with the Stars

Several contestants for the next season of Dancing with the Stars: All Stars were announced on Friday morning.

However one celebrity not named in the lineup has accidentally given her involvement away, based on pictures obtained by Daily Mail Australia.

Angie Kent was snapped earlier this month practising her steps with Erin McNaught’s dance partner from last season, Julian Caillon.

The apparent slip up comes as several contestants for the next season of Dancing with the Stars: All Stars were revealed on Friday morning

The 31-year-old Gogglebox Australia star arrived at a Sydney dance studio wearing leopard print leggings and a black T-shirt.

Angie’s blonde tresses were pulled back into a high bun for the practice session. 

She was accompanied by professional dancer Julian, with both members of the dancing duo wisely wearing masks while outside the dance studio.

Once inside, Angie and Julian could be seen rehearsing their dance moves, and occasionally pausing for a chat and a laugh. 

Angie first graced TV screens on Gogglebox from 2015 to 2018 with her then-housemate Yvie Jones, before going on to join season five of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! together.

Later that year she was cast as The Bachelorette and found love with Carlin Sterritt, but they eventually called it quits in June 2020.

She is set to make her acting debut in the upcoming horror film, The Possessed, alongside seasoned stars John Jarrett and Lincoln Lewis.

On Friday, Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac also revealed he would be taking part in DWTS.

He told viewers that he will be taking part in the upcoming season of the star-studded competition as a wildcard contestant, and introduced his professional dance partner, Ruby Gherbaz.

The 40-year-old asked her: ‘I dance on Sunrise a lot as our viewers would know. How do you feel about taking someone who is a wildcard to get onto the show and do the real deal?

‘I don’t know if Australia is ready for you, Sam. I actually don’t know, I’m speechless just looking at you,’ she laughed.

Ruby, who has appeared on past seasons of DWTS, advised him to ‘hold on tight’ ahead of their training sessions. 

Earlier in the program, Sam also revealed McLeod’s Daughters star Bridie Carter, 50, will take part in the show, 14 years after winning the crown back in season seven.

‘It was the most terrifying job I have ever done, but ended up being the most wonderful,’ the actress recalled.

Dancing With The Stars returned to Channel Seven with the revamped All Stars format earlier this year after two seasons away on Channel 10.
