Anya Taylor-Joy on Jell-O wrestling in Tigger onesie right after the Emmy Awards

Anya Taylor-Joy has achieved international stardom thanks to roles in Netflix’s The Queen’s Gambit and the critically acclaimed film Last Night in Soho.

Appearing on Tuesday’s episode of Ellen, the 25-year-old actress revealed how she ended up Jell-O wrestling in a Tigger onesie from Winnie the Pooh right after this year’s Emmy Awards last month.

The blonde beauty told host Ellen Degeneres that the surprising incident happened at a friend’s house, all because of a mantra she lives by.

Surprising: Anya Taylor-Joy, 25, revealed how she ended up Jell-O wrestling in a Tigger onesie right after the Emmy Awards last month, during her appearance on Ellen on Tuesday (pictured)

‘Award shows are frightening, they’re really really wonderful, but it’s just not really what I do every day,’ Anya began.

‘So I made a rule that whenever I do something that’s scary, I get to do something that’s ridiculous that I’ve always wanted to do.

‘So… out of the couture gown and into the Tigger onesie, is the rule of thumb now,’ she continued as the audience applauded.

Hilarious: 'Award shows are frightening, they're really really wonderful, but it's just not really what I do every day,' Anya told Ellen (right). 'So I made a rule that whenever I do something that's scary, I get to do something that's ridiculous that I've always wanted to do'

A photo was shown on screen, with the actress and her pal in a green onesie standing in an inflatable pool filled with Jell-O.

Ellen commented, ‘that’s a lot of Jell-O,’ to which Anya responded, ‘Yeah, cold and green, surprisingly hard, harder than I thought it was gonna be.’

She added, ‘It’s very slippery and it’s quite slow. It’s almost like Tai chi. In my mind, I thought it was going to be very dynamic.’

Ellen asked for another example of something she would do that’s ridiculous after doing something scary, with the actress revealing what’s up next for her.

‘I really want to ride a mechanical bull. I’m currently working in Savannah and they have a mechanical bull but I’m on night shoots and I’m just desperate to give it a go,’ she said.

She added that she wants it to be her, ‘party trick’ as Ellen said if she had known, she would have brought a mechanical bull for her to ride.

Taylor-Joy looked quite sad at that revelation, adding, ‘It’s OK, I’ll recover,’ as Ellen joked, ‘I was gonna say next year, but there is no next year.’

Taylor-Joy’s new movie Last Night in Soho, from director Edgar Wright, hits theaters nationwide on October 29.

Her movie in Savannah is entitled The Menu, starring alongside Ralph Fiennes, Aimee Carrero, Nicholas Hoult, John Leguizamo and Janet McTeer.
