Buddy and Jesinta Franklin sell Double Bay home for $4 million and buy luxury $5 million apartment

AFL star Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin and his wife, model Jesinta Campbell, have offloaded their controversial property in Sydney’s Rose Bay for close to $4million.

The high-profile couple are believed to have quietly sold their house in early November, as they prepare to welcome their second child in March.

As reported by Realestate.com.au, Buddy and Jesinta have already upgraded to a larger, more expensive, apartment in the same suburb, which is worth $5million.

The couple had purchased their four-bedroom, three-bathroom property in 2014 for $2.35million, two years before tying the knot.

While the pair’s decision to give their home an all-black exterior in May 2017 didn’t go down well with neighbours, photos published by The Wentworth Courier reveal tasteful interiors and a resort-style courtyard with a pool.

Three and a half years ago, Jesinta and Buddy gave their two-storey residence a makeover, changing the beige-and-white facade to dark charcoal.

However, the paint job was not well-received by style and design experts.

Interior designer Juliet Love told Realestate.com.au at the time that the facelift was a bold move but wasn’t well executed.

In 2018, the couple went one step further with their home’s striking makeover by adding a stone exterior wall and a wooden door gate that matched the dark colour of the facade.
