Carol Wright has revealed her husband Mark is ‘too scared’ to look at her new breasts after she went under the knife at 61 to have a boob job.
Speaking in a new interview, she told OK! Magazine: ‘I’ve still got some scars. I keep showing him them and saying, ”Don’t they look good?” and he says ”Yeah”, then turns his head. He’s a bit too scared to look at the moment!’
Carol also admitted during an appearance on Tuesday’s Loose Women that she was ’embarrassed’ to tell her children about the surgery.

Speaking to the panel, Carol, who is doting mother to Mark, Josh, Jess and Natalya, explained: ‘I was embarrassed to let the children even know.’
She added: ‘But when I spoke to the girls, they agreed with me. All I was worried about was going under anaesthetic at such a late age.’
Of her concerns, Carol added: ‘I was very scared.’
When asked by Janet Street-Porter whether or not she thinks there’s a stigma around older women having cosmetic surgery, Carol defiantly replied: ‘Not really.

‘In my eyes, if you want something done, why shouldn’t you?’
The doting mother also opened up about her 34-year-old son Mark’s recent surgery to have a 12cm benign tumour removed in December.
She shared: ‘It’s been going on for a while now and we didn’t really worry about it because my husband has got the same lump but much smaller under his arms.
‘So he used to say, ”It’s the same sort of lump I’ve got, Mark.” There’s nothing wrong with it.’

She added: ‘Finally, it started to grow and when he told us it was growing, we became concerned.
‘It wasn’t until the night before he was going in for the operation that I lay in bed with my husband and said, ”Say this is serious?” and my husband reassured me and said, ”No, he’s going to be fine” because that’s the way my husband deals with things.
‘And I lay awake that night thinking, ”My god, what would we do if it’s actually cancer?” Thank god it wasn’t and it was successful, and it’s been cut out… It wasn’t cancerous. It was very big though, very big.’

It comes after Carol told how she went under the knife after she was left feeling like the ‘unsexiest woman on the beach’ while on holiday.
The former TOWIE star admitted she is feeling much more confident after having her old breast implants replaced.
Reality personality Carol has had new smaller implants put in as well as a breast uplift, in order to help her feel sexier 25 years after her original cosmetic surgery.
Sizzling! Carol has told how she went under the knife at 61 to have a boob job after she was left feeling like the ‘unsexiest woman on the beach’ while on holiday
Carol told Ok! magazine: ‘I feel so much more confident. I’m 61 and there’s nothing to be ashamed of. We’re not going to have the most amazing boobs by my age and if you want something done like that, then I think, ‘Why not?’
Carol said that she always promised herself new breasts for her 60th birthday and it’s something she has been considering for the past five years.
She added that her frame was too small for her breasts and she worried that she would develop a ‘hunchback’ like her beloved late mother, Nanny Pat.

No thanks! She also admitted that her husband Mark Snr (pictured) has been ‘squeamish’ about the results of the procedure and won’t look at her new boobs
Carol admitted: ‘I’m quite conceited and I do like to look good, but every time I bought a swimsuit or bikini I was having to get ones with big bras and bones in them, and I felt like the unsexiest woman on the beach.’
The mother of four has had a busy year after watching her eldest daughter Jessica, 36, tie the knot with her new husband William Lee Kemp in Mallorca.
She is also set to become a grandmother this year, as both Jessica and her brother Josh are expecting their first children.
This time last year, Carol took to Instagram to reveal to her 190,000 followers that she and her husband Mark had been ‘attacked’ by the coronavirus.

The Wright matriarch penned an impassioned caption about their battle and diagnosis and urged naysayers to ‘never believe the virus isn’t real’.
Although both Carol and Mark recovered from the virus, her brother-in-law Eddie died after an eight-week battle with Covid.
Carol joined TOWIE as a permanent cast member from the inaugural series in 2010, and stayed on screens after both her children departed.
The family are famously extremely close and their bond was most recently documented on Jess’ spin-off reality show, Jess Wright: The Wedding
