It’s the sweat-inducing strip show that Australia has been anticipating for months, after previously being delayed amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
And this week, Magic Mike Live officially sent pulses racing Down Under, as Channing Tatum‘s titillating dance show was finally previewed by audiences at Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park.
While the show officially premieres on Thursday 17 December, pictures from the preview event show a whole host of stunning performers flaunt their impossibly chiseled physiques on-stage for audiences’ viewing pleasure.
The boys are back: This week, Magic Mike Live officially sent pulses racing in Sydney, as Channing Tatum’s titillating dance show was finally seen by audiences during a sneak preview in The Arcadia, in Moore Park
Creator and director Channing Tatum said of the Australian show: ‘The morning after we opened our first production in Vegas four years ago, we all talked about the crazy idea of someday putting Magic Mike Live in a tent and traveling around Australia.
‘The fact that it’s actually happening now is mind-blowing to me.’
Pictures from the event show a sea of rippling muscles writhing around on-stage, with sensual performances playing out in front of, above or all around audiences.
The 360 degree tent venue – named The Arcadia – brings viewers right into the heart of the action for the exhilarating 90 minute experience, all the while being completely COVID-19 safe.

The 40-year-old added. ‘The tent and this new version of the show is more than I ever imagined it could be and I can’t wait for our fans in Australia to see what we’ve created especially for them.’
Conceived and co-directed by Channing in 2016, Magic Mike Live has already been a success in Las Vegas and London.

While Channing won’t appear in the shows, Magic Mike Live features 20 performers, including 15 ‘of the most talented male dancers in the world’.
During an appearance on Sunrise last year with Magic Mike’s choreographer, Channing confessed he wouldn’t be performing in the show because of his ‘dad bod’.
‘[I’ve got a] dad bod, man! I got a kid now, this is what it is,’ he said, referring to his six-year-old daughter, Everley, whom he shares with ex-wife Jenna Dewan.
