Chris Hemsworth’s stunt double reveals his incredible superhero training session

His job is to emulate Chris Hemsworth’s incredibly buff physique on screen.

And stunt double Bobby Holland Hanton was hard at work in the gym on Wednesday as filming for Marvel’s blockbuster Thor: Love and Thunder continues.  

Chris and Bobby’s trainer Luke Zocchi shared a behind-the-scenes look at how Bobby’s superhero transformation is coming along.

The video, shared to Chris’ Centr app page, showed Bobby being put through his paces with a series of strength exercises.

From barbell presses, rope slams, lat pull downs and handstand walking, Bobby made the tough session look easy as he bantered with Luke.

The video was to promote the app’s seven-day free trial on offer for new members who want to ‘train like a superhero’.

Bobby recently revealed his incredible body transformation for the new sequel Thor: Love and Thunder, as well as his fitness secrets.

The 34-year-old daredevil told Centr that he’s been training two to three times a day to achieve Chris’ muscular physique.

‘We’re doing 2 and sometimes 3 intense sessions per day. I’m having to lift heavy – the heaviest I’ve ever had to lift,’ he said.

‘The stunts and fight scenes in Chris’s films require me to be really agile, so I’ve had to plan my training strategically – it’s not enough to just get big, I still need to be able to move fast.’

He said he starts his day with bodyweight or a plyometric workout, and then he lifts heavy weights in the afternoon.

Bobby also revealed he’s currently eating eight to 10 times a day and is consuming 4000 calories in order to bulk up his physique.

For breakfast, he has four poached eggs, avocado and tomatoes before making a protein shake.

He then has brown rice or quinoa, turkey breast, broccoli, green beans and a handful of almonds for brunch.

For lunch, Bobby enjoys a sweet potato, tuna steak, zucchini and tomato salad before having another protein shake.

To end off the day, he has a lamb fillet, quinoa and vegetables before having white fish and some greens two hours later.

Bobby then has his final meal, which consists of two boiled eggs and chicken breast at 9pm.

What is Bobby’s day on a plate? 

7AM: Four poached eggs, avocado, tomatoes

9AM: Protein shake

11AM: Quinoa or brown rice, turkey breast, broccoli, green beans and handful of almonds 

1PM: Sweet potato, tuna steak, zucchini, tomato salad

3PM: Protein shake

5PM: Lamb fillet, quinoa and vegetables

7PM: White fish and some greens

9PM: Two boiled eggs and a chicken breast

Chris, 37, and Bobby first worked together on Thor: The Dark World in 2013.

Since then, they have gone on to act in several other movies together including The Avengers and the subsequent Marvel films, In The Heart Of The Sea and The Huntsman movies.

Their professional relationship has also become a real-life bromance between the actors with Bobby even spending some time at Chris’ Byron Bay residence during the filming of Thor: Ragnarok.

He recently described Chris as ‘one of the nicest people I’ve ever met’ and said the hunk is like ‘family’.
