‘Get around my legend mate @chrissieswan who is smashing her goal to walk 150km for the month of August to raise money for #fredsbigrun for @fredhollows,’ Ash wrote next to the selfie of the pair.
‘Fred Hollows cures blindness for as little as $25. You can’t even buy a cup of coffee for $25 (actually hang on yes you can… but you get my point. Curing blindness for $25 is maybe the best deal I’ve ever heard. Support #fredsbigrun via link in Chrissie’s bio.

Earlier this year, Chrissie confirmed that as well as giving up alcohol, she now has a passion for walking every day and has taken up meditation as a hobby.
‘I’m not one for New Year’s resolutions but I’ve become serious about carving out some “me time” this year,’ Chrissie wrote on Instagram in July.
Active! Earlier this year, Chrissie confirmed that as well as giving up alcohol, she now has a passion for walking every day and has taken up meditation as a hobby
After saying she had ‘read everything there is to read about self care,’ she took action during the city’s 112-day lockdown last year.
‘I’ve never done anything about it, until now. Learning how to meditate kicked it off for me and I realised after the first 10 min block that it was the first time in ages I’d stopped and slowed down with my own well-being top of mind.’
The Celebrity MasterChef Australia star also revealed she ‘doesn’t put pressure on’ herself, but walks ‘somewhere’ most days.
‘Sometimes for 20 minutes, sometimes for an hour. Sometimes three little walks, sometimes none!’ she said.
When a fan asked if she ever lacks motivation, she added: ‘The struggle is real. I get it and I have NEVER been a walker.
‘I always wear activewear or at least runners – like just put them on straightaway because that’s one less excuse. It’s when I can’t be f**ked I just say it’s 10 minutes. Always ends up longer. First step is the hardest.’
In March, Chrissie said she was feeling better than ever following a booze-free night of karaoke with a girlfriend.
‘Booze-free activity degree of difficulty: 10 = karaoke. UNLOCKED! I can’t quite believe it but it IS POSSIBLE. Fresh as a daisy this morning and I still have my voice!’ she captioned a photo.
In April, Chrissie added that her sleep had also improved since giving up alcohol.
‘I stopped drinking booze of any kind (alcohol is diabolical for sleep and anxiety too)’ she explained, as she detailed a sleep study she was taking part in.
Currently, Chrissie is running 150 kilometres in the month of August as part of Fred’s Big Run, a charity built to save people around the world from avoidable blindness.
On Friday, she revealed she’d already smashed out an incredible 115kms just 13 days into the month, before thanking the hundreds of people who helped her raise over $35,000 so far.
