Chrissy Teigen cuts a HOLE in the wall of the $17.5M mansion she shares with John Legend to rescue her pet hamster that had been missing for three days

In a nearly four-minute IGTV video Chrissy Teigen filled followers with suspense as she and friends worked to free her hamster that had become trapped in a wall in the $17.5M mansion she shares with John Legend.

The ordeal took place Sunday night and the 35-year-old model originally shared it in a series of Instagram Stories.

On Monday morning she re-posted the clip with the caption, ‘Rescue 911. peanut butter the hamster has been missing for 3 days. is he in the wall??? let’s find out.’

The Sports Illustrated cover star wore a long, black, floral print housecoat that she tied at the waist. It had furry trimming at the sleeves. Her almond shaped nails were painted a neutral color and she wore a singular piece of jewelry — her huge, sparkling wedding ring.

Her hair was in an imperfect bun, with some wisps falling in the back. She flurried around on her wood floors without slippers or shoes.

Daughter Luna also made a cameo in the funny video post.

‘Our hamster has been missing for 3 days… I heard faint scratching in the wall…’ begins the caption in the video as a friend is seen holding back a long curtain.

Later Chrissy says, ‘Yeah, there is a hole in the wall. There’s wires.’

‘He’s using [the wires] like a rope to climb,’ the unknown helper explains to Luna, five.

‘It’s right on the other side of the wall,’ the cookbook author is heard whispering excitedly.

The group combined forces to figure out the best way to free their furry friend. They employed a flashlight, ladder, and ultimately a screwdriver to complete the mission.

At one point the TV personality holds a hammer and anticipates banging a hole in the foundation, as her friend urges her to resist. ‘Don’t take the hammer!’ the friend advises.

Chrissy wrote, ‘I really wanted to,’ across the screen.

Once the crew located the animal, they were able to give it seeds to nosh on before it crawled safely out of the punctured partition and into a hamster ball.

‘Here she is,’ someone is heard saying while someone else cooed, ‘Hi, beautiful’ to the rescued rodent.

At the end of the footage the entrepreneur let out a huge, relieved laugh as she cradled the hamster ball into her chest.

This year the public figure dealt with a scandal for her past toxic social media behavior, which led to Macy’s ceasing to sell her kitchen line and her exit from the Netflix show Never Have I Ever. The nearly-disgraced celebrity said she could be ‘canceled forever’ professionally amid the career crisis.

The star said she was ‘slightly down lately,’ as she was working on her latest cookbook (titled Cravings: All Together: Recipes To Love) and thinking of her late son Jack, after her pregnancy loss last September when she was 20 months into her term.

Earlier on Sunday she opened up about her ups and downs in what she described as a ‘rollercoaster’ of an Instagram post, as she shared memories of her time in New York City, where she relaxed with her family over the weekend.
