Chris Meloni was seen shooting Law and Order: Organized Crime in New York City on Thursday.

The actor, 60, wore an all black outfit as he was in character to play NYPD detective Elliot Stabler.

There was simulated blood on his forehead, nose, and goatee while he filmed the scene that called for a stunt double.

Meloni wore a black button down shirt with the top button undone, exposing a bit of chest hair. He also had on a long chain with a cross pendant. 

It was paired with a pair of creased black slacks and black dress shoes.

His skin was a glowing rouge as he put his all into the intense onscreen moment.

Some snapshots show him sitting on a motorcycle with an expression of fuming intensity across his face.

In one photo a look alike body double is seen behind him. 

Members of the production crew are also visible in the background of the shots which were taken on a street in Uptown Manhattan.

Also on Thursday, the series star took to Instagram to engage his devoted 893,000 followers.

He posted a black and white FaceTime screenshot featuring a close up of his face, showing that his call to costar Mariska Hargitay was missed.

‘I tried to FaceTime ya marsha,’ he wrote in the caption, using a playful nickname for the actress and adding hashtags ‘tag ur it,’ ‘LOOC,’ and ‘SVU.’

Diehard Law and Order fans absolutely loved it, as they left over 500 comments showing appreciation for the joke.

The two actors are known for their onscreen chemistry and sometimes bait fans with behind-the-scenes posts of them on set.

The two stars’ chemistry didn’t wane through the years after Meloni left the show in 2011 after 12 seasons, as seen when Hargitay’s Captain Olivia Benson appeared in several episodes of the new spinoff Law & Order: Organized Crime, which is led by Meloni’s Detective Stabler. 

In a previous interview with People the duo discussed their onscreen connection, where Hargitay summed it up to ‘the trust we have between us.’

She added, ‘He’s always made me feel like I could just jump off the ledge, the cliff, the bridge, and he would catch me, in so many ways, whether it was comedy or acting or friendship.’

Meloni offered his unconditional support by weighing in: ‘It’s simple. We have each other’s back.’

Law & Order: Organized Crime premiered in April 2021 and within about month, it was renewed for a second season that’s slated to debut on NBC September 23.
