He enjoyed a recurring role on a classic 80s sitcom, and was later shamed for working at a supermarket.

The Cosby caps show star, 60, was dressed casually in a maroon hoodie sweatshirt and gray T-shirt.

Far cry from Trader Joe’s: On Friday, actor Geoffrey Owens was spotted on the set of a new film from comedian and television star Ray Romano

He tucked his shirt into a pair of loose-fitting light wash denim blue jeans.

Owens wore brown leather shoes on his feet.

He stayed protected from the coronavirus pandemic with a standard standard black face mask, which he took off while in the vicinity of Romano, 63.

Geoffrey also handled a video camera on a monopod has he talked to Ray, joined as well by fellow actor Laurie Metcalf on the set of the film.

The group was photographed standing on the bleachers in what looked to be a gymnasium.

Owens’ sweatshirt also lent a hint to the shoot being of an athletic nature, as it had the word ‘basketball’ on the breast.

Most known for his role of Sondra’s upstanding husband Elvin on The Cosby Show in the late 1980s, the actor again made headlines a few years ago when he was photographed workings a bagger at a Trader Joe’s.

The ensuing publicity led to rapper Nicki Minaj pledging $25,000 in support of the star.

As for Geoffrey’s new acting role, little is known about the untitled Ray Romano film, other than the fact that the Everybody Loves Raymond star will direct and has co-written the script.

The story follows an Italian-American family in Queens dealing with the unexpected success of their son as he becomes a star on his high school basketball team.
