‘Maybe one day I won’t hate that record. It has some good songs. But like Steve Coogan, or crack, it’s one of my life’s great shames.
‘Just the period, sloppiness, men, money, drugs, nightmare…. although Chateau Miraval (where we made it) doesn’t suck.
‘Thanks to my fave Aussie @joedadic .. I’m oddly … strangely satisfied with this…’
Looking back: Courtney shared this picture and post on the social media site
Courtney, who was married to the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, previously told ES that she only knew Coogan as his role as record boss Tony Wilson and had not heard of his Alan Partridge role.
She said: ‘I thought he was Tony Wilson in 24 Hour Party People — someone I’d always had a daddy thing for.
‘I had never seen Alan Partridge. But I was in a band with people who did know Alan Partridge, so I had to make a record with them constantly saying, “Back of the net!”
She admitted: ‘All it was, was a couple of sh**s at the Sunset Marquis and I did not know he was Alan Partridge.’
Soon after the fling, it was reported that Love was expecting Coogan’s baby when she told the News of the World: ‘Yes, I am pregnant with Steve’s baby, but I’d rather not talk about our relationship.’

‘She confirms that she and Steve are good friends and have met a few times in Los Angeles.’
His spokesperson said: ‘He is astonished by this. It is ridiculous.’
Piers Morgan, 55, addressed the story in an interview with Coogan for GQ.
He said: ‘Take the stuff with Courtney Love, for example. I was more fed up with people texting me saying, “Are you all right?” than I was by anything else.
‘Of course I was all right. I was fine. Just go away all of you.’
Piers asked him: ‘How true was the Courtney story, then?’
He replied: ‘Some of it was true, most of it was b*****ks. To borrow the title of the film, it was 20 per cent c***, and 80 per cent bull.’
Courtney previously also told the Sunday Times that she stopped taking cocaine after the fling.
She said: ‘That was a two-week fling and we didn’t even exchange numbers at the end of it. That was my last dance with cocaine.’
‘When it comes to things like opiates, or cocaine, or even tequila, it’s hard. I love opiates and I went to the dentist recently and he gave me whatever I wanted. I said, “I think I’m in love with you.”
‘I hadn’t gotten that high in years and I was allowed to do it legally because I had to get this molar fixed.’
