Cricketer David Warner beams as he enjoys a pool day with his daughters after reuniting with his family following Australia’s loss to India

Cricket star David Warner is happy to be back home with his family following Australia’s recent loss against India in the Test series.

On Thursday, the 34-year-old was in the pool with his girls – Ivy Mae, five, and Indi Rae, three and Isla Rose, one – at their $2.3million Maroubra home.

He posted a photo of himself in the water as he carried his youngest while his two older daughters clung on to him.

‘Great to be home and being daddy again! So much love for my family,’ he boasted in the caption of his Instagram post.

He noted that his wife Candice was not in the photo because she ‘did not want to swim’.

But the former Ironwoman, who captured the image, commented on the post: ‘My beautiful family.’

His sporting commitments, in addition to being forced to live in the bio-secure bubble with his team mates amid the pandemic, has meant he missed out on special family occasions including his daughter, Indi Rae’s fifth birthday.

Last week, the proud father shared a virtual happy birthday message and tribute to the youngster on Instagram.

‘Very big happy birthday to our gorgeous funny and energetic girl Indi. We love you lots and lots and hope you have a good day,’ he wrote. 

‘Sorry daddy can’t be there with you,’ he added.

In November 2020, the Warners were reunited after spending a whopping 108 days apart.

At the time, David had just completed two weeks of mandatory hotel quarantine at the time after competing in the Indian Premier League in the UAE.
