Cynthia Bailey announces she’s leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta after 11 seasons: ‘It’s time to move on to my next chapter’


Cynthia Bailey announced she is leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta after 11 years.

The 54-year-old reality star shared an emotional post about her departure on her Instagram Monday.

‘After much thought and consideration, I have made the very difficult and heartfelt decision not to return for the next season of Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ she wrote.

The Bravo star, who posted a glamorous promo shot of herself from the show, continued: ‘Thank you NBC Universal, Bravo, and Truly Original for over a decade of partnership. I can’t wait to see what we do next!’

Cynthia added: ‘Thank you to my Real Housewives castmates for eleven of the most unbelievable years of my life; and the most incredible & unforgettable memories!’

‘I am so grateful to have had this amazing journey, and I am anxiously waiting to embark on new adventures. Most importantly, Thank you to my fans! I could not have done it without your blessings, love, and support.’

‘Without the fans, none of this would be possible. I love and appreciate all of you. It’s time to move on to my next chapter, and I look forward to sharing it with all of you. See you guys soon! Cynthia Bailey-Hill.’

Cynthia joined the hit Bravo series in season three in 2010 as Nene Leakes’ friend, with her last being season 13. 

During her 11 season run, Cynthia relationship to Peter Thomas was feautred on a season three episode in 2010; their relationship ended in 2016 with their divorce finalized in 2017.

Cynthia began dating Mike Hill, a Fox Sports correspondent in August 2018, and got engaged in July 2019. 

She tied the knot in October 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The TV star has a daughter named Noelle, 21, with ex fiance actor Leon Robinson.
