They star as leading ladies in the new film The Lost Daughter.

And Dakota Johnson looked effortlessly chic in a frilled collar dress as she joined her stylish co-stars Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley both for a photocall in London on Thursday. 

The actors beamed as they posed on a couch with director Maggie Gyllenhaal for a slew of the promotional snaps.

Dakota paired her festive ensemble with semi sheer black tights and leather loafers. 

Her brunette locks were pulled back into a low pony tail while her glam make-up enhanced her flawless features. 

Olivia looked incredible in a sophisticated dark green dress which she paired with black leather loafers. 

Irish actress Jessie wowed in black and white stripped trousers and a chic black blazer.

The film’s director Maggie also cut a stylish figure in a funky camel two-piece.

Dakota was spotted leaving the London hotel with a coffee in hand after the photocall.

The beauty wrapped up warm in a black chunky jacket as she made her way to an awaiting car.

The Lost Daughter is a psychological drama written and directed by Maggie, and based on the novel of the same name by Elena Ferrante. 

The anticipated movie had its world premiere at the 78th Venice International Film Festival on September 3, where Maggie won the Golden Osella Award for Best Screenplay.   

The film also received a four-minute standing ovation from the audience at the Venice Film Festival.  

It tells the story of Olivia, as Leda, a college professor, who while on a summer holiday, finds herself becoming obsessed with another woman (Dakota) and her young daughter, prompting memories of her own early motherhood to come back and unravel her.

The Lost Daughter also stars Peter Sarsgaard, Paul Mescal, Ed Harris and Oliver Jackson-Cohen.  

The film will be released on Netflix on New Year’s Eve after a two-week limited release in US movie theatres. 

Lost Daughter takes place in an island in Greece.
