All eyes were on Delta Goodrem as she arrived for an exclusive Melbourne Cup event hosted by Lexus in Sydney on Wednesday.

The 36-year-old singer looked effortlessly chic in a sage green dress for the shindig held in The Rocks.

Her frock featured a high neckline, puffy shoulders and peplum waist with cut-out detailing on the hips.

She turned to the side to reveal the cheeky backless element of her outfit.

She accessorised with a pink boater-style hat, red statement earrings, a designer purse and lilac heels.

The Born to Try star wore her hair in a low ponytail and her makeup comprised fluttery lashes, peachy cheeks and a nude pout.

She was seen catching up with racing royalty Emma Freedman and Kate Waterhouse.

The ladies had a quick conversation before posing in front of the media wall.

Kate, 37, who is the daughter of horse trainer Gai Waterhouse, opted for an eye-catching fluro yellow dress.

They were soon joined by retired jockey Corey Brown, former NRL star Anthony Minichiello, and ex-rugby union player John Eales.

Delta’s appearance comes after she spoke about her decision to step away from The Voice Australia, which moved networks from Nine to Seven this year.

The songstress, who was a coach for eight seasons when The Voice aired on Nine, said it was time for her to focus on other things. 

She told Stellar: ‘When I’m part of something I give my absolute all, so it was time to give my all to other projects, and it felt like the right moment for me to lean into my creativity.’

Delta admitted she hadn’t watched much of the new season on Seven, but said she was ‘cheering on’ the crew she had worked with for years.
