Diddy on posting THAT Jennifer Lopez throwback… as he announces he’s forming an ‘all R&B label’

‘No trolling involved’: Diddy talks about posting THAT Jennifer Lopez throwback amid her on-again romance with Ben Affleck

Sean ‘Love’ Combs aka Diddy has revealed why he shared an eyebrow-raising, throwback Thursday post of himself and ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez circa 2000 on May 27.

‘It wasn’t no trolling involved, that’s just my friend,’ the 51-year-old rap mogul told Vanity Fair on Tuesday.

The three-time Grammy winner added: ‘And I don’t have nothing to say about her relationship or her life.’

Much ado was made over Diddy’s timing since the 52-year-old pop diva had only just rekindled her romance with ex-fiancé Ben Affleck a month earlier.

JLo famously donned the plunging Versace gown back when she dated the Harlem-born hip-hop star on/off between September 1999 to February 2001.

Diddy never married, but his most serious relationship was with the mother of three of his six children – Kim Porter – who passed away, age 47, in 2018 from lobar pneumonia.

‘And so, you know, I had to start to deal with it when I lost Kim, because I was like, “Man, you had it,”‘ marveled the Emmy-nominated producer, who dated Porter from 1994-2007.

‘I’m not saying I would do any of it differently. God willing – I would have had more time. I look at my life as I got a second chance. I’m on my second mountain.’

Diddy – who’s ‘inspired’ by the #MeToo movement – gushed that he’s ‘the happiest I’ve ever been in life, I laugh the most, I smile the most, I breathe the most.’

The This Is My Year rapper will reportedly drop his fifth studio album Off the Grid Vol. 1 on September 24, and he just announced he’s forming an ‘all R&B label.’

‘I’m coming back into music, you know?’ Diddy said.

‘Yeah, all R&B label, because I feel like R&B was abandoned and it’s a part of our African-American culture. And I’m not signing any artists. Because if you know better, you do better. I’m doing 50–50 partnerships with pure transparency.

‘That’s the thing. [The new label is so that] we can own the genre; we don’t own hip-hop right now. We have a chance to – and I’m going to make sure that – we own R&B.’
