But viewers have been left fearing that Tina is in mortal danger after she finally exposes Gray and confronts him during tense scenes.

Charging into Gray’s house, she dramatically tells him: ‘I see you Gray. And she saw it too, didn’t she? That night in this kitchen she finally found the strength.

‘Finally stopped pretending you would ever change. It wasn’t an accident, was it? You killed her. You murdered your wife.’

But viewers are terrified that Tina will meet an untimely demise as the episode ended on a cliff-hanger, with Gray looking fuming following Tina’s realisation.

Luisa Bradshaw-White, 46, confirmed her exit from EastEnders in a statement in October, but it has remained a secret how she will leave the show.

Fans are worried that not only will she be murdered, but nobody will realise she’s dead as she is urged to flee after Ian Beale’s attack – a crime she did not commit.

Taking to Twitter, one shocked fan wrote: ‘Tonight’s #EastEnders was mad. Tina is asking to be flung over that dishwasher. I reckon Gray is going to take care of her once and for all’

While another tweeted: ‘I think Tina is in danger… but I hope she brings gray down #Eastenders’

And a third predicted: ‘#Eastenders Gray is gonna kill Tina, I’m calling it right now!!’

The BBC soap’s domestic abuse plot ended in tragedy as Chantelle was killed at the hands of Gray after deciding to leave her controlling spouse, following years of mental and physical abuse at his hand.

Chantelle had been isolating with Gray amid the Covid-19 pandemic and she makes the decision to file for divorce and attempted to escape before being killed.

Speaking about the storyline, Jessica previously said: ‘It’s been such a privilege to play Chantelle and to be able to tell her story. Sadly what she goes through is all too common and her death is a reminder of the devastating effect of domestic abuse.

‘I’ve known it wasn’t going to end well for Chantelle for a while now and although it was a shock to find out her fate, far too many men and women suffer in silence so I hope that by raising awareness we can ultimately save lives.

‘I am so grateful to all the team and my lovely cast members for being so supportive, I’ll miss Albert Square.’
