She shocked fans earlier this week when she announced she was leaving The Wiggles after 11 years.

And Emma Watkins was spotted for the first time on Thursday since the surprise news.

The 32-year-old enjoyed a walk in Sydney with her fiancé Oliver Brian, who is a musician in the children’s band, and their pet dogs.

Emma was in high spirits during the leisurely stroll, smiling under her protective face mask and waving to passers-by.

She kept things casual in a flowing black skirt and a turtleneck top, along with a pink blazer on top for a splash of colour.

The redhead wore her long locks out and over her shoulders.

The Wiggles shocked fans on Tuesday when they announced Emma would be leaving the children’s group at the end of the year after nine years as the Yellow Wiggle.

‘After 11 years of performing with The Wiggles, and nine of those years as the Yellow Wiggle, the time has now come for me to pass the yellow skivvy on,’ Emma said.

She’ll be replaced by 15-year-old Tsehay Hawkins, with Emma leaving the group to complete her PhD at Macquarie University.

Emma also said in a statement that the Covid-19 lockdown made her reassess her priorities, and she realised how much she missed being at home after years of touring with the group.

In an interview with The Project this week, Emma said that since the announcement she’s received ‘an overwhelming outpouring of messages’ and support.

‘I’ve received so many emails and messages on social media, and I guess you don’t quite see or realise how many people we might have performed to or people that watch us onscreen.’

She added: ‘I’m grateful to everybody that’s come and joined us on our Wiggly journey.’
