She was known for initially keeping her long-term romance with partner Al under wraps, despite the pair dating for seven years now.

Yet since going public with their relationship in 2019, Lisa Riley wants everyone to know just how loved-up she is with her rarely-seen fiancé.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, the Emmerdale star, 45, shared a sweet selfie of her and her partner looking nothing short of loved-up.

The pair beamed from ear to ear in the black and white shot, as they explored the Lambley Viaduct in Northumberland.

Captioning the sweet photo, Lisa wrote: ‘Beautiful Day….. walking for miles and miles…getting totally lost in nature. Lambley Viaduct is just PURE PURE BLISS!!

‘The views go on and on. today it was just perfect, as it was so quiet. What weekends are all about……’

Al and Lisa have been together for seven years, with the couple getting engaged in 2018.

The pair were previously incredibly private about their relationship, with Lisa choosing to keep Al away from the spotlight until they were spotted together for the first time in public in 2019.

She and her long-term love are yet to wed, with Lisa revealing during lockdown last year that the couple spoke about tying the knot in 2021.

Speaking to The Mirror, Lisa revealed that herself and Al ‘got on brilliantly’ during lockdown and insisted: ‘I wouldn’t rule out us getting married next year at all.’

Sharing her vision for their big day, she added: ‘It will be incredibly simple – I love the idea of keeping it intimate, with just our nearest and dearest there and nothing flamboyant.’

Reflecting on her previous relationships, Lisa – who revealed she had ‘stopped looking for love’ when she met Al – claimed she always chose ‘blokes who liked the red carpet’ and being on her arm at glamorous showbiz events that she gets to attend as an actress.

‘They weren’t with me for the correct reasons,’ she said. ‘Whereas Al would love me if I made wicker baskets for a living… he loves me for who I am.’

In April, earlier this year, Lisa candidly spoke of her fertility struggles and how she will never go through IVF again after ‘losing herself’ during her previous failed attempts.

Revealing why she will not continue trying, Lisa insisted she has a ‘bl**dy beautiful life’ and ‘wouldn’t change it for the world’.

In an interview with Closer Magazine, Lisa said: ‘Al would never want me to go through IVF again because he said he lost the girl he fell in love with… I may not have 2.4 kids and a dog but I have a beautiful bloody life. I wouldn’t change it for the world, I’m so lucky.’

She previously revealed how she was told by medical experts that it is unlikely she will ever conceive, even via IVF due to the poor quality of her eggs, and claimed people treated her differently after the rounds of IVF she tried were unsuccessful.

Deciding against trying again, Lisa said in a previous interview: ‘I wouldn’t go down the IVF route now but I will let nature take its course and, if I did fall pregnant, I would be thrilled.

‘But I am not going to dwell on it, no one is going to give me bad news again.’
