They’ve been making hit music together for a decade.

And on New Year’s Day, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line shared a video via Twitter to reassure fans that they are not breaking up, but just ‘venturing out’ on some separate projects.

While they will release the album Life Goes On in February, they are also each pursuing solo projects, they explained.

Changes: They’ve been making hit music together for a decade. And on New Year’s Day, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line shared a video via Twitter to reassure fans that they are not breaking up, but just ‘venturing out’ on some separate projects

‘We want to make sure that our truth is out there for you guys and our genuine excitement and support of each other for the next chapter of our career, of our music, of our journey,’ Hubbard, 33, shared in the video they teamed the country music duo up via Zoom.

Hubbard is about to release a Undivided, a collaboration with country music star Tim McGraw, while Kelley started working on a solo album this past summer.

Kelley, 35, explained: ‘I did a lot of soul-searching, man…. I took some time off of writing songs and just didn’t know I was searching for… kind of where I landed was falling in love with my guitar and writing more than ever.’

The duo reassured fans that they still plan to tour together but they are also looking forward to some independence.

Hubbard shared: ‘We’ve been on a 10-year journey together and we wouldn’t change it for the world…. We created this freedom around ourselves that we can do whatever we want to do creatively and musically.’

He stressed: ‘We’re not breaking up. We’re just venturing out.’

The video comes a couple of months after Hubbard ‘unfollowed’ Kelley on Instagram due to their different politics in the run-up to the presidential election in November.

That action caused fans to fear the duo had broken up.

But Hubbard cleared the air explaining: ‘I unfollowed BK for a few days while we were in the middle of this election and everything going on. And, and I even called him and told him, I said, ‘Hey buddy, I love you. And I love you a lot more in real life than on your Stories right now. That’s why I’m unfollowing you. Nothing personal. I still love you. You’re still my brother.’

Hitmakers: After a decade of making music together, Hubbard and Kelly described the next stage as: 'We're not breaking up. We're just venturing out'
