Fans were treated to a fun surprise at the end of the movie as OG Wonder Woman Lynda Carter made an appearance as an Amazon warrior named Asteria – who is referenced throughout – as the credits rolled out.

Carter appeared in full form – though her character’s eyes are teased through the film – and saves people from a falling pole in a market, before giving a signature twirl and winking at the camera.

Her cameo made way for a third installation that will likely see the two characters finally meeting as Asteria was the first person to wear the armor Gadot wears in her epic battle against Maxwell Lord and the Cheetah, with Wonder Woman determined to find her.
