Sophie Kasaei has revealed she’s been constantly body-shamed throughout the years since she first rose to fame, no matter what her size is.
The Geordie Shore star admits that she’s found that she often faces criticism from people who say she’s ‘too thin’, only to be then branded ‘fat’ if she gains weight.
Speaking on her Unmasked Instagram account, the reality star said: ‘If I’ve lost weight, people are like, “You’re too thin. What’s happened to your curves?”
Can’t win: Sophie Kasaei has revealed she’s been constantly body-shamed throughout the years since she first rose to fame, no matter what her size is
‘And then if I put weight on, they’re like, “Oh my god, you’re back to your old size again.” “Oh my god, Sophie’s got fat again.” It’s like I can never, ever win… What’s the balance?’
Last year, Sophie shared that she had managed to lose weight during the first lockdown after adopting a healthier diet and revamping her workout regime.
She told The Sun’s Fabulous magazine: ‘I’ve lost about 10lb during lockdown – that’s in two months, so a pound a week. That’s just because I’m not eating takeaways and I’m not travelling up and down the country for work, stopping at services for meals.
‘I’ve been cooking really healthy meals for myself. When I get up, I workout straightaway with my dad for an hour, because that makes me feel great. Then I’ll have brunch with my dad and get a few jobs done, walk the dog.’

In July, Sophie burst into tears when she divulged her ‘excruciating’ battle with the condition endometriosis on Instagram.
The star compared her horrendous ordeal to someone ‘stabbing you in your ovaries’ when she shared her experience with her followers.
Endometriosis is a condition resulting from endometrial tissue outside the uterus which causes pelvic pain and is often related to menstruation.
The condition affects women of all ages with some of the main symptoms being pelvic pain, period pain and pain during or after having sex.

According to Sophie, she had been experiencing a flare up which resulted in extreme bloating and pain to the point that she couldn’t perform her daily routine.
She had to use peppermint and ginger tea to heal her bloating, but to no avail, as the star was left distressed by the ongoing ordeal.
Sophie revealed that she had to leave a personal training session and come home because the pain became so unbearable and she let her followers know how she was feeling.
She said: ‘I want to say to anyone who suffers from endometriosis, like it is so painful! I literally was just fine and I’ve started to cry again.

Hourglass figure: Sophie left nothing to the imagination as she showcased her sensational figure in a naked Instagram picture on Tuesday
But she returned to the celeb-favourite city to wave in the New Year alongside her reality star pals, including Geordie Shore’s Chloe Ferry and Bethan Kershaw.
Last month Sophie was accused of breaking coronavirus social distancing rules after she appeared to mix with three households and attended a family party on Christmas Day.
The reality star appeared to flout rules around mixing during the festive period by travelling to numerous houses and documented some of the celebrations on her social media, according to The Sun.
A source claimed: ‘Sophie put the whole day on Instagram Stories – I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.
Wow! She looked sensational as she posed up a storm in a black and white bandanna-print bikini on a boat in Dubai during her break
‘She started the day with her mum at her house, then she went to her dad’s house to see him and her nan, then she went back to her own house – and then went off to her cousin’s house for a family party.
‘Then she had the cheek to tweet about how good the day was – it’s one rule for celebrities and one for everything else.’
After eating her Christmas dinner, Sophie recorded herself travelling to her cousin’s house for a bash.
The North East was under Tier 3 restrictions at the time, meaning people could visit a maximum of two households on December 25.
MailOnline contacted representatives of Sophie for comment at the time.
