They said in a statement: ‘During her time with Network 10, Georgia Love made a valuable contribution as a freelance reporter.

‘As with any casual position, the availability of work ebbs and flows with the requirements of the company.’

On January 16, The Daily Telegraph reported that Georgia had exited the role under ‘mysterious circumstances’.

A source said: ‘Nothing was really said about it …one day a memo just went around saying that “Georgia no longer works here”.’

The newspaper claimed Georgia’s exit was likely part of the brutal Covid-19 cutbacks at the network last year, which saw least 25 jobs slashed.

Georgia landed what she described as her dream job with the TV channel in 2017, as a reporter at Ten Eyewitness News Melbourne.

‘I knew I never wanted to do anything else with my life. Today, I worked my first day in that very newsroom.’
