Locked in an intense embrace or sharing a tender kiss, these are the pictures that prove that while Ghislaine Maxwell languishes in a prison cell, her much younger husband has moved on.
Seen together for the first time, exclusive DailyMail.com images show 60-year-old Maxwell’s husband Scott Borgerson caught in a tryst with his new woman, local journalist and yoga enthusiast, Kris McGinn, 49.
Two years ago, Borgerson, 46, seemed the devoted spouse, prepared to stump up $25million of a $30million bond to bail out his wife.
Today that devotion has run dry.
While the disgraced ex-socialite fights for a new trial and faces up to 65 years in prison, Borgerson appeared to have not a care in the world as he enjoyed alone time with McGinn last week in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts before whisking her away for a weekend of skiing.

Borgerson has left his infamous ex in the dust. Wrapped up in his new life with his new lover, Maxwell must face her fate alone
Borgerson’s relationship with Maxwell has always been shrouded in secrecy with no paper trail of their marriage or divorce having ever emerged
The couple have been keeping their relationship on the down-low amid the increased scrutiny surrounding Maxwell
It is a relationship that both have tried to keep on the down-low and when they got together last week, it bore all the hallmarks of a clandestine rendezvous.
Maxwell and Borgerson met eight years ago when both had speaking engagements connected to ocean preservation at the Arctic Circle Assembly in Reykjavik, Iceland
They met at a secluded forested enclave, at a midpoint between the $2.4million oceanfront home that Borgerson once shared with Maxwell in Manchester-by-the-Sea and the more modest family home that McGinn lived with her now-estranged husband, Wesley Straub.
The local journalist covers food and cultural trends for the elite east coast enclave’s 133-year-old newspaper The Manchester Cricket. She split from Straub in late 2020 and reverted to her pre-marital name that September.
On Thursday, McGinn turned off the main road, into a densely wooded area and parked her car next to Borgerson’s already waiting vehicle.
The loved-up couple then headed into the woods, walking their dogs together before returning to their cars for a lingering farewell.
Standing face to face they embraced tightly. Before they parted McGinn stood on her tiptoes to kiss the man who told his current wife it was over in a prison telephone call.
Just two days later the couple were together again for a holiday ski weekend get-away.
Earlier this week Borgerson and his adoring girlfriend joined the many locals walking their dogs in the bright winter sunshine on the beach on the outskirts of Manchester-by-the-Sea.

McGinn is a local journalist and yoga enthusiast. The previous week the two met at a secluded forested enclave, equidistant from the $2.4million home that Borgerson once shared with Maxwell

While their dogs played in the sand they strolled, occasionally stopping to look out to sea, seemingly unperturbed by the chill gusty wind.
McGinn was first photographed by DailyMail.com last November when she refused to answer questions about her burgeoning relationship with Maxwell’s man.
Borgerson was similarly tight-lipped. When approached by DailyMail.com this week he politely declined comment.
Borgerson’s relationship with Maxwell has always been shrouded in secrecy with no paper trail of either marriage or divorce having ever emerged.
Borgerson’s existence as Maxwell’s spouse was only revealed in court documents in December 2020 when he was referenced as her husband in a failed bid to reassure the New York court that she was not a flight risk as she had ties to the area and a life partner willing to post bond.
Prosecutors argued that Borgerson’s offer carried little weight as he had refused to come forward at the time of her arrest. They also stated that the couple were in the throes of getting a divorce – a fact that Maxwell attributed to her desire to protect Borgerson from the ‘terrible consequences of being associated with her.’

Two years later Borgerson’s 14-year marriage to his first wife, Rebecca, ended when she learned of his affair with Maxwell.

In divorce court documents obtained by DailyMail.com Borgerson was accused of being physically violent, abusive and ‘extremely controlling,’ of his ex-wife. He was also branded an alcoholic.
In May 2001, he allegedly threatened, ‘Don’t make me beat you in front of the children.’
Borgerson broke the news of his affair with Maxwell in the most callous of manners, telling Rebecca that he would be in London on business and that he would send videos.
When he did, the videos showed that he was in Miami with Maxwell.
A source told DailyMail.com, ‘Rebecca was sitting there with her two young children watching this video of Scott and Ghislaine hugging and kissing. Rebecca was devastated. Things quickly fell apart after that.’
Today it is Maxwell’s turn to be confronted with pictures of Borgerson ‘hugging and kissing’ another woman.
At first Borgerson’s relationship with Maxwell opened new doors to the former Coast Guard officer who founded shipping data company, CargoMetrics in 2010.
By 2016 the company was valued at $100million and Borgerson was reveling in his newfound proximity to power – once boasting, according to the Daily Beast, that he and Maxwell had dined with Bill Clinton ‘just the three of us.’
It was DailyMail.com that first tracked Maxwell down to the Manchester-by-the-Sea home in which she and Borgerson played house.
Maxwell even met Borgerson’s young daughter and son.
But the façade of normalcy crumbled when Jefferey Epstein’s arrest in 2019 exposed Maxwell as a sex trafficker, complicit in Epstein’s now notorious crimes.
Borgerson was forced to step down as CEO of his own company and neighbors were so disgusted to have her in their midst that they tried to harass her into leaving.
It led to a court case in which Borgerson successfully fought their decision to prevent them from using paths and a beach near their home — called The Phippin House — part of an estate shared by the owners.

Borgerson bought the $2.4million Phippin House in Manchester-by-the-Sea in June 2016. DailyMail.com was first to track Ghislaine Maxwell to the home where she and Borgerson were living
By the time the decision was handed down it was already moot for Maxwell as she had fled into hiding.
For her part Maxwell has always claimed that she was not hiding from the law but from the media and that her love for Borgerson was such that she stayed close.
In a letter written by one of her associates and submitted to the court it was claimed, ‘Her love for her [redacted] husband was a principal reason that she stayed as close as possible while fighting for her innocence.’
The jig was up when, in July 2020, feds found her holed up in an expansive home called Tuckedaway in Bradford, New Hampshire, two hours north of Borgerson’s pad.
The $1million home, first pictured by DailyMail.com, was bought by Granite Realty LLC, a company with ties to Borgerson and established just weeks ahead of the purchase.
According to one resident who knew Borgerson he is ‘personable, very bright and intelligent but…an extreme narcissist, totally in love with himself, money and power.’
What these pictures very clearly show is that he is not a man encumbered by any lingering loyalty to Maxwell.
Cavorting in the woodlands or strolling on the beach, they are proof positive that Borgerson has left his infamous ex in the dust – wrapped up in his new life with his new lover and Maxwell must face her fate alone.
