She also shouted out March of Dimes, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting the health and safety of mothers and their babies, for their work toward raising awareness for Black maternal and infant health.
‘This year, they launched an implicit bias training for more than 15,000 health care providers with the goal of uncovering institutionalized racism in the health care system and training health care workers not to perpetuate the cycles of discrimination to achieve equity for all moms and babies,’ the star wrote.

The Life actress followed up her Instagram post with an interview with People, during which she discussed the emotions of being pregnant for the first time.

The star called being pregnant empowering and grounding.

Came around to the idea: McCreary was initially hesitant to begin trying to conceive because she had career milestones she wanted to achieve first
Despite her excitement at having a child now, she said she was initially hesitant to begin trying to conceive. She explained that she had career milestones she wanted to complete before motherhood, so she wasn’t totally sure about having a child at first.
Her hubby, however, has been amped up about the possibility for a while now.
‘I’m very lucky to have a partner who is just rah, rah, eager for this child to come into our life and find out all of the ways that being parents will disrupt and challenge everything that we have planned. But because we are doing it together, we will be able to roll with it. And because this child is so desired and so loved, whatever happens will be the right thing, and we’ll make it work.’
The two are already preparing, McCreary said, by writing down things the two want to teach their future baby.
