Harry Styles reveals his tattooed chest at an Italian beach after wrapping on his film My Policeman

He wrapped up filming on his upcoming romantic drama My Policeman on Wednesday.

But Harry Styles was taking his time ending his Italian vacation after heading to the mediterranean country to finish filming.

The 27-year-old pop superstar–turned–actor was seen on Friday as he enjoyed some time in the crisp blue waters of Porto Ercole before relaxing in the sand.

Harry started his day off with a brisk dip into the crystal-clear waters.

After he had his fill, he climbed up to a picturesque shower on the side of a cliff overlooking the beach and sea.

The singer carried a large green water jug with him to stay hydrated under the piercing sun, and he placed it on a rocky shelf by the shower with his checker sneakers and his phone.

He wore a pair of short dark blue swim trunks that highlighted his fit physique.

The former One Direction member put his abundant chest and arm tattoos on display as he washed off the sea salt under the shower.

Most prominent among them was a large butterfly or moth in the center of his chest, along with two mirror-image swallows facing each other.

Back in 2012, when he was only 18, Harry spoke to Us Weekly about getting the tattoos, which are a classic style of inking among sailors.

‘I like that kind of style of tattoos, like the old sailor kind of tattoos. They symbolize traveling, and we travel a lot!’ he said of his then-group One Direction.

After his shower, Harry dried off with a yellow-and-white striped beach towel and headed down the cliff path toward the beach.

He looked as if he was ready for relaxation as he took his spot at an umbrella-covered beach chair and cooled down with a drink while staring out at the ocean.

The burgeoning screen star appeared to be enjoying some down time after finishing up principle photography on his film My Policeman.

He was in Venice on Wednesday when his costar Emma Corrin shared a photo of him in a water taxi with the movie’s producer Robbie Rogers and director Michael Grandage.

She joked ‘aaaaand that’s a falafel wrap baaaaby’ to mark the end of filming.

Since then, Harry had traveled about three hours south to Tuscany to enjoy some time to himself to recuperate.

Production on My Policeman originally began in Brighton on England’s Southern Coast, before briefly traveling to Italy for some final scenes.

The new film is likely to show off the musician’s acting prowess, as he has graduated to the leading role after making his debut with a small supporting part only four years earlier.

He stars in the 1950s-set film, based on the novel by Bethan Roberts, as Tom, a gay and closeted police officer.

Homosexual acts between men were illegal in England until being decriminalized in 1967, so Tom marries Marion (Corrin) in order to pose as straight and to save his livelihood and freedom.

The film, which also features sections taking place decades later, follows his decades-long relationship with the museum curator Patrick Hazelwood, played by David Dawson.

Law & Order star Linus Roache will play Tom in scenes taking place in the 1990s, while Rupert Everett will play the older version of his lover Patrick.

The film reportedly features some steamy sex scenes between the two male leads.

‘Harry will be having sex on screen and they want it to look as real as possible,’ an insider told The Sun back in April. ‘The plan is to shoot two romps between Harry and David, then another scene where Harry is naked on his own.’

The novel of the same name was published in 2012 and received strong reviews, with some critics praising its sense of period accuracy.

Although principle photography is now finished, a release date for the period drama hasn’t been announced yet.

Harry’s previous acting work included a lead role in his girlfriend Olivia Wilde’s sophomore film Don’t Worry Darling.

Little is known about the psychological thriller, which is also set in the 1950s.
