Heavily pregnant Kate Ferdinand cradles her baby bump while clad in a glamorous dress and slippers

She’s due to give birth to her first child any day now. 

And, Kate Ferdinand, 29, cradled her blossoming bump while clad in a glamorous dress and slippers, for a snap shared to Instagram on Friday evening, which left her husband Rio, 42, branding the former TOWIE star: ‘Hot mama!’

The Heavily pregnant reality star – who is imminently set to welcome a son with the footballer – admitted their ‘baby boy is very comfy’ and she joked about her footwear.

With her blonde tresses freshly cut and styles, and a glowing make-up look courtesy of a professional, Kate looked beautiful. 

Alongside the glamorous shot, the mum-to-be wrote: ‘This baby boy is very comfy in here … glam, but slippers – it’s the only way right now.’  

Showing his approval for the gorgeous photograph, Rio commented beneath: ‘Hot mama!’ with a red heart emoji. 

Last week, Kate showed off the family’s Christmas decorations as she posted a photo of their fireplace lined with grey stocking, with one for herself, Rio and his children; Lorenz, 14, Tate, 12 and Tia, nine.

Rounding off the festive furnishings, the former TV star held up a sweet snow globe, which featured ‘Happy Christmas The Ferdy’s’ written across the front.  

Kate previously revealed she had picked out a name for her and husband Rio’s baby boy but is now already starting to ‘go off it’. 

Speaking to OK! magazine, Kate said: ‘We have a couple of potentials. But we’re just waiting to see what he looks like when he comes out and if he suits them.

‘There’s one favourite name but the more I say it the more I go off it. So we’ve decided not to talk about it for a while!’

Kate said she and her former footballer beau split their household duties evenly and described Rio as ‘very supportive’.

She said: ‘We’re 50/50 really. We share a lot of it. If he’s at work, I do stuff and if I’m struggling then he helps. He’s very good in that sense. I’m very lucky.’

Kate is stepmother to Rio’s three children whose mother Rebecca Ellison died in 2015 following a battle with breast cancer.

The mother-to-be said she has ‘three little helpers’ and all the kids are very excited about the impending arrival.

In an exclusive interview with MailOnline recently, Rio couldn’t resist sharing his admiration for Kate’s figure, saying he also adores how her body has changed during pregnancy. 

Kate said: ‘When you’re in it you worry about everything but from the outside everyone thinks you look really good.

‘It’s growing to love your changing body. At the beginning, in the first trimester I was a bit nervous about everything but as time has gone on, I am growing to love my changing body so much more.’

Rio added: ‘As do I, as do I!’

Kate also said she and the former England captain have decided they will not show their son’s face on social media once he’s born.  

The former reality star, who is due before the end of the year, said: ‘We have thought about that.

‘All of our children will be treated the same – it will be the same as the other three children, his face will be kept private, so he can relax and enjoy life without the pressures of social media.’

Kate found fame on TOWIE in 2015, and then quit in 2017, shortly after meeting Rio during a Dubai holiday.
