Hugh Jackman sports a vest as he takes a stroll in the city after praising Billie Eliish’s new movie

He’s a Hollywood heavyweight in his own right.

And Hugh Jackman admitted he’s a superfan of Billie Eilish as he jumped on Instagram Wednesday morning with a raving review of her latest documentary.

The 52-year-old actor stepped out for a walk around the block in New York City before hopping on social media to sing praises of the pop star.

Jackman stayed warm in a puffer vest and grey slacks as he pounded the pavement in Manhattan on a chilly winter day. 

He wore a long-sleeved black shirt and a matching beanie, and carried a reusable water bottle in one hand.

The X-Men star knew the importance of wearing a face mask and covered up to protect himself from the coronavirus pandemic.

Safely back at home, Jackman took to his platform with some encouraging words for Billie after watching her latest flick.

‘I recommend wholeheartedly the Billie Eilish movie, The World’s a Little Blurry,’ he said. ‘It is amazing and I just have to say I am so thrilled that my daughter has such an  honest, vulnerable, outspoken, talented … not afraid to be herself role model like Billie Eilish. 

‘It’s an incredible window into humanity, into creativity and I found it incredibly optimistic and touching and her parents, her brother, her whole family is amazing but there’s the most awesome moment with Justin Bieber and I’m not going to tell you what it is, but Biebs, good on you man. Awesome.’

Her first documentary, Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry, was released on Apple TV+ on Feb. 26, 2021 and tells the ‘true coming-of-age story’ of the popular musician.

Billie’s first studio album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? was released in March 2019 and earned the top spot across global music charts, with idol Justin Bieber even collaborating on a remix of her popular hit Bad Guy.

She received five Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards and One Brit Award for the album which included six top hits.

Billie — who’s full name is Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell — released her debut single Ocean Eyes in 2016 and an EP the following year, and has earned seven gold and two platinum singles through the Recording Industry Association of America.

Eilish sang the James Bond theme for No Time To Die, which also became her first No. 1 single in the UK.

She was born and raised in the Highland Park area of Los Angeles and began singing at a young age thanks in part to her parents Maggie Baird and Patrick O’Connell, both of which supported her interest in the entertainment industry.
