Hulk Hogan thinks Chris Hemsworth is ‘ready’ to play him in a new biopic for Netflix and Joker director Todd Phillips

Chris Hemsworth has been bulking up to play WWE icon Hulk Hogan in a highly-anticipated biopic, and his efforts have not gone unnoticed by Hogan himself.

The 37-year-old Australian actor has been posting some impressive workout photos on Instagram lately, with Hogan taking to his verified Twitter to comment on them.

The pro wrestling legend also shared some snaps of himself in his prime, to compare himself to Hemsworth’s physique, though he also threw a little joke in as well.

Hogan shared four photos, two of himself from the 1980s and 1990s wrestling heyday, showing off his physique, and two recent workout snaps from Hemsworth’s Instagram.

The Australian actor is clearly in top physical form to play Hogan, though he jokingly wondered if he was good looking enough.

‘He’s already there! He’s ready BROTHER!!! But is he good looking enough to play me lol, lol, lol. HH’ Hogan joked.

Still, there is no indication when Hemsworth may be getting in front of cameras for the movie, which has been in the works for some time.

Hemsworth was first announced to play Hogan back in February 2019, with Todd Phillips (Joker) directing from a script by Scott Silver (Joker) and John Pollono (Stronger).

Hemsworth will be producing alongside Bradley Cooper, with pro wrestling legend Eric Bischoff.

The biopic will follow Hogan – real name Terry Gene Bollea – and his rise through the pro wrestling world.

While pro wrestling was split into various regions across the country, WWE’s Vince McMahon took the industry national, with Hogan the face of the industry.

The biopic will not delve into any of the wrestler’s troubles later in life, including a leaked sex tape and his infamous Gawker lawsuit.
