I Know What You Did Last Summer full trailer reveals new footage from the bloody series

Just a week after the first teaser debuted, Amazon Prime Video has released the first full trailer for their highly-anticipated I Know What You Did Last Summer TV series.

The show is based off the same 1973 novel by Lois Duncan that the iconic 1997 movie was based on, starring Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

This new series updates the same premise for a new generation as a group of kids must deal with the aftermath of a tragic accident.

The trailer kicks off at an epic graduation party, where a pair of twins (both played by Madison Iseman) meet at the party, but one is clearly more popular than the other.

The trailer features a number of quick shots from the party, before the main group of friends take off in a Jeep.

They start live streaming in the car, with the friends known as ‘The OGs,’ when their car suddenly strikes something.

While the trailer doesn’t who what (or who) was struck, one of the blonde twins kneels down and says, ‘This can’t be happening.’

The group is all solemnly gathering, while one says, ‘No one will really know what we did.’

The show is set in the coastal town of Wai Huna, as the blonde asks the rest of the group if anybody saw them that night.

She’s seen opening her closet, seeing the words ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ written in red lipstick on her mirror.

The blonde insists that even if anyone found out, they couldn’t prove it, while one of the male friends (Ezekiel Goodman) insists that more people are going to die.

The trailer teases that more people do in fact die, as Sebastian Amoruso’s character claims, ‘This can’t be a coincidence.’

The trailer also includes plenty of bloody footage, including Iseman’s character finding an ominous note reading, ‘I’m here.’

Accusations are being flung as the tensions rise, accusing the friends of being, ‘totally fake,’ ‘sociopath’ and a ‘drug addict,’ while Brianne Tsju’s character constantly lies.

There is also animosity between the twins, with the less popular one saying her sister, ‘had sex with the one person I love.’

The trailer winds down with a number of quick-cut shots, including a cryptic statement that, ‘everything was fine until she came back.’

The trailer ends with a shot of the blonde at the scene of the crime, as she’s heard saying, ‘There is no redemption in this life.’

I Know What You Did Last Summer debuts on Amazon Prime Video with the first four episodes on October 15, with new episodes airing each Friday leading to the season finale on November 12.
