He helped garner attention for his beloved football team after saying Turf Moor was his ‘happy place’ during his first-ever trial of the series.

And Jordan North was left stunned on Saturday’s episode of I’m a Celebrity… The Daily Drop as he received a surprise message from Burnley manager Sean Dyche.

On Friday’s I’m A Celebrity final, the radio presenter, 30, finished in second place with Giovanna Fletcher winning and Vernon Kay in third.

Talking about the end of the series and becoming a finalist via video link on the spin-off show, host Vick Hope had a surprise for Jordan.

The star played a video message from Burnley manager Sean Dyche where he called him ‘mate’.

Jordan was left stunned over the surprise as he said: ‘Sean Dyche called me mate! That feels great. That just means the world to me. That’s a great gift. I love that guy!’

Burnley FC and its stadium Turf Moor have garnered attention ever since they were  mentioned on I’m A Celebrity by the BBC Radio 1 DJ. Jordan even picked a Burnley scarf as his ‘luxury item’ on the show.

Jordan exclaimed that his ‘happy place’ was Turf Moor during his first-ever trial of the series which saw him come face to face with his greatest fear – snakes.

During the challenge, the presenter told hosts Ant and Dec: ‘My brother, who is a paratrooper, said to me no matter how scared or cold you get to think of your happy place.’

And throughout the trial he could be heart shouting: ‘Happy place, happy place, Turf Moor, Turf Moor.’

The Geordie duo then jokingly reminded him that Burnley sit second to last in the football table and are waiting for a first Premier League win this season and that if Turf Moor was his happy place, they wouldn’t want to see his sad place. 

During his stint in the castle, Jordan has unknowingly raised more than £20,000 for two charities.

Burnley FC released two sold out ‘happy place’ charity T-shirts to support the presenter on the show with the merchandise raising more than £20K for Pendleside Hospice and Burnley FC Community Foodbank.

The football club told Lancashire Telegraph: ‘We have been astounded by the massive show of support for celebrity fan Jordan North on his stint in the I’m a Celebrity castle, with supporters snapping up the ‘Happy Place, Happy Place, Turf Moor’ T-shirts from the Claret store. 

‘Thanks to that generosity and your support, Jordan has now raised over £20,000 for Pendleside Hospice and the Burnley FC in the community Foodbank, without even knowing!’
