After all, they looked flirty at January 2020’s SAG Awards and then in September had chemistry during a table read for a sexy scene in Fast Times At Ridgemont High.
But on Wednesday the Friends veteran told Howard Stern during his SiriusXM show that they are just ‘buddies.’ The 52-year-old added there is ‘no oddness at all’ between the two.

Aniston appeared on The Howard Stern Show with Friends co-stars Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox, and throughout the course of the interview she spoke candidly about she and Pitt, 57.
‘Brad and I are buddies, we’re friends…And we speak,’ she said.
And during the September star-studded table read of the Sean Penn classic film, the two greeted each other in an adorable way. ‘Hi Aniston,’ he said, to which a smiley Jen responded ‘Hi Pitt,’ and they exchanged friendly ‘how you doings’ with Aniston calling him ‘honey.’
‘It was absolutely fun,’ she said of the table read. ‘There’s no oddness at all, except for everyone that probably watched it and was wanting there to be, or assumed there to be,’ she continued. ‘We had fun, and it was for a great cause.’
Table read: The former lovers reunited during the Fast Times At Ridgemont High table read in September where they played romantic interests, Jen saying there was ‘no odness at all’
The former lovers played romantic interests which sent longtime fans of the couple swooning, with many holding out hope they would get back together; both appear to be single.
Prior to their virtual reunion, the two were seen tenderly greeting each other on the red carpet at the 26th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in January 2020.
In an ET interview at the event she called the constant buzz about their interactions on various red carpets ‘hysterical,’ adding ‘but what else are they gonna talk about.’
The ending of their marriage coincided with Pitt meeting Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr And Mrs Smith, prompting rumors to swirl that he had stepped out on Jennifer.
In a Parade magazine interview given in 2011, he spoke out about the situation saying that during the course of the pair’s marriage he felt like he ‘wasn’t living an interesting life.’

‘It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself. I think that my marriage had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t,’ he said.
Pitt continued to say that he was ‘satisfied,’ with the way things panned out after falling for Jolie on set.
‘I’m satisfied with making true choices and finding the woman I love, Angie, and building a family that I love so much. A family is a risky venture, because the greater the love, the greater the loss. … That’s the trade-off. But I’ll take it all.’
But after many thought that he had shaded Aniston while speaking on the marriage, he issued an apology to The Morning Show star.
‘It grieves me that this was interpreted this way. Jen is an incredibly giving, loving and hilarious woman who remains my friend. It is an important relationship I value greatly. The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself – and that, I am responsible for,’ he said.

Jolie and Pitt divorced in 2016 and the two have been warring over custody of their six children. The Maleficent star filed for an appeal after a recent ruling and a court date has been set for July 9.
Aniston later went on to marry actor Justin Theroux, but they split after two years together in 2017. She told People on Wednesday that the two are also on friendly terms and that they FaceTime.
Though she shared that she was not sure if marriage would be in the cards for her, she confessed that she hopes to find a ‘fantastic partner.’
‘Oh God, I don’t know’, she said of getting married again. ‘It’s not on my radar. I’m interested in finding a fantastic partner and just living an enjoyable life and having fun with one another. That’s all we should hope for. It doesn’t have to be etched in stone in legal documents.’
