Jennifer Garner wishes Alias co-star Kevin Weisman ‘Happy Birthday’ by posting their onscreen kiss

They starred opposite one another in the action-thriller Alias, which aired for five successful seasons on ABC.

And Jennifer Garner wished co-star Kevin Weisman a ‘happy birthday’ by sharing their onscreen ‘smooch’ from the critically-acclaimed series to Instagram on Tuesday.

‘Happy birthday, @kevinweisman, I would smooch your “Marshall” any day,’ captioned the actress, 48, in reference to his character Marshall Flinkman.

She continued: ‘(even if you got me in trouble by making me laugh) ♥️’

‘Thanks for the bday love @jennifergarner,’ replied Weisman, who shared the memorable Alias scene to his Instagram Story. 

In the brief clip, international spy Sydney Bristow (played by Jennifer) aggressively grabs onto Marshall’s face and kisses him in the hopes of snapping him out of a debilitating daze.

With Sydney’s lips on his, Marshall’s eyes spring open and, with a renewed sense of focus, he successfully inputs the correct password into the computer in front of him.

‘Marshall! You’re a genius,’ exclaims Sydney, who inserts a floppy disc into the computer in order to extract some sort of vital information from it.

Alias premiered on ABC in 2001 and followed Sydney Bristow, a young woman who ‘agrees to become an international spy for a supposed secret branch of the CIA’ after learning of her family’s ties.

The action-thriller series, that was created by and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, came to a dramatic close in 2006 after five seasons on the air.

The long-running show catapulted Garner to superstardom and featured performances by Titanic’s Victor Garber and eight-time Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper.

Shortly after sharing her heartfelt post to Instagram, Garner was flooded with love from longtime Alias fans, with many praying for a reboot of the J.J. Abrams series.

‘It’s time for an Alias reboot – with the original cast of course,’ read one of the hundreds of comments left on the 13 Going On 30 star’s post.

Another remarked that ‘the bloopers for this [scene] were seriously the best ever,’ followed by a laughing-crying emoji. 

‘I loved this show so much!!!’ commented Kimberly Paisley, while another Instagram user labeled Alias as their ‘favorite’ show.
