‘First day back at it and I’m already hurtin’ and feelin’ real dramatic about being sore,’ she began.

‘I have been craving this, but procrastinating. One work out and I am determined to not let myself down. Although I will be eating a brownie to give myself some points! #beastmode #goMOMSgo.’

In the spring she confessed that she had thrown out her scale and was instead focusing on ‘feeling good.’

‘I have no idea how much I weigh, I just want to be able to feel good and zip my pants up. If I don’t, I have another size. I have every size,’ she shared on TODAY

The I Wanna Love You Forever crooner had started to tackle her weight by walking and working with a trainer, gradually increasing her steps.

When it came to diet she focused on eating three healthy meals and snacks, but didn’t deprive herself as she continued to enjoy some cheat meals throughout the week.

In the interview she spoke about the effects ‘body-shaming’ had on her confidence, while growing up in the spotlight as a teenager.

‘A lot of the body shaming was one of the reasons I shut down because I couldn’t be comfortable in my own body, I didn’t know what people were expecting me to look like and how to give that to them and why I had to’ she said.

Proving she can balance motherhood, her dedication to fitness and business this week it was revealed that she had regained ownership of her Jessica Simpson brand, after offering $65 Million to buy it back.

The billion dollar brand’s parent company, Sequential Brands Group, had filed for bankruptcy in August and as at the time Simpson had only owned just over a third of the label she had to secure the funds to gain ownership again.

‘For Jessica to regain control of her namesake brand, it allows her and I, alongside our amazing team, licensing and retail partners to build the legacy brand to carry on to her children and family,’ said her mom Tina Simpson who helps run the company.
