‘He was the life and soul of everything’: Jo Wood had a dream about her brother Paul the night he passed away from Covid and reveals her sister Lize also almost died from the virus
Jo Wood has revealed how she dreamt her brother Paul Karslake died the very same night he passed away from Covid last year.
The former model, 66, is marking a year since Paul passed away and Jo told how the virus almost claimed her sister Lize as well.
Speaking to the Daily Express, she said: ‘He always made me laugh – he was the life and soul of everything. I look at his picture every morning and say, “Hello, brother.”‘

Jo told how Paul came to her in a dream the night he died and she now believes it was his way of saying goodbye.
The former wife of Ronnie Wood said she dreamt she walked into a hospital room and saw a body on a bed which she was told was her father.
But Jo realised it was actually her brother in the bed as she picked up his hand.
She said: ‘I picked up his hand and looked at it and said: “This is my brother.” The next thing I know, the phone is ringing at 4am and it’s [his wife] Sandra saying, “He’s gone.” He must have come to say goodbye’.

The television personality added that her brother had long had poor health and suffered from diabetes and heart disease.
Paul developed what he thought was the flu last March, with his wife calling an ambulance when his symptoms became worse and he died that night in hospital.
Jo told how just seven days after Paul’s passing, their sister Lize also caught Covid and nearly died from it.
Lize was taken to hospital with bronchitis and took a turn for the worse during her stay when doctors confirmed she had the virus.

Jo said: ‘They put her in an induced coma and on a ventilator. So my brother’s just died and now my sister’s in hospital on a ventilator with the same thing. I was out of my mind with worry. I couldn’t imagine the cruelty of losing two siblings at the same time.’
Lize’s induced coma lasted for two weeks but she thankfully recovered quickly after waking up and was allowed to return home a few days later.
Paul had told Jo he had a dream about their mother Rachel just a week before he died where she told him she was waiting for him.
Jo added that Paul had always thought he would not live to old age as he had a bad heart and previously had stents put in.

She described his funeral as ‘horrible’ with only six people allowed to attend due to Covid rules around gatherings.
Jo watched the funeral with her son Tyrone, 37, and her granddaughter on a link from her house.
Since her brother’s death, Jo has created a small wood in memory of him, planting 70 trees on her land.
Jo was married to rocker Ronnie from 1985 to 2011 with the former couple parents to daughter Leah, 42.
She is also mother to Tyrone and Jamie, 46, and was stepmother to Ronnie’s son Jesse, 44.
