She welcomed her son Cree with husband Rio Ferdinand in December.
And doting mother Kate Ferdinand, 30, proved their six-month-old son is already shaping up to be a confident swimmer on Saturday when she posted a photo of herself and her little lad in a swimming pool on Instagram.
Slipping into a swimming costume and dressing Cree in a sweet whale print wetsuit and matching hat, Kate wrote while holding her son in the air: ‘Swimming with this little bubba.’

Kate – who is currently holidaying with her family – wore her blonde tresses swept back into a bun and also made sure to keep the sunshine at bay beneath a black visa.
The brim of Cree’s waterproof hat obscured most of his face, however the little lad’s wide smile was visible.
Kate accessorised with a pair of gold earrings and wore a watch on her left wrist.
It comes a day after Kate celebrated her 30th birthday, with both the doting mother and her footballer husband, 42, sharing photos of the celebrations on social media.

Kate shared a photo of the couple embracing as they posed for pictures in front of a huge pink balloon display and a light up ’30th’ sign.
The mother-of-one looked incredible as she flashed her abs in a cropped silk white shirt and matching midi skirt.
Meanwhile Rio looked dapper in a crisp white skirt and dark trousers as he posed beside his wife of nearly two years.
Clearly enjoying her celebrations, she captioned the snaps: ‘The best day celebrating my birthday with my beautiful family and friends!’

It comes after Kate confirmed she has no plans to have more children any time soon, insisting she would be a ‘madwoman’ to do so after giving birth to son Cree in December.
The star who is also a stepmother to husband Rio Ferdinand’s three children, Lorenz, 14, Tate, 12, and Tia, nine, asserted she doesn’t need ‘any more tears’ in the bustling household.
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, she also highlighted the importance of being candid and honest about motherhood in the face of unrealistic standards perpetuated on social media.
‘I think four is enough, there’s already a lot going on and lots of crying,’ she said. ‘It’s a busy house. So I think I’d be a madwoman if I wanted anymore! Four is plenty for now.’
Content with her current family set-up, she gushed over her husband and said: ‘Rio has been amazing with Cree, he’s a wonderful dad, the kids love having the little one too!’
Kate has been open about the challenges she has faced since welcoming Cree, as she admitted last month that exhaustion and anxiety had reached an ‘all-time-high’ following the birth.
The mother needed an emergency caesarean section while in labour, which she is still recovering from after not being able to walk for six weeks.

According to Kate, the difficulties she has faced as a parent aren’t always truthfully portrayed or discussed on social media.
She said: ‘It’s important to be honest on Instagram and share your feelings, even if I’m feeling down, emotional or haven’t managed to do something that I was planning on doing.
‘I feel like a lot of the time, people aren’t open, especially when it comes to pregnancy or becoming a new mum. They always want to put up the best picture without showing the reality.
‘I used to put a pressure on myself to look a certain way and to keep on top of my fitness, but I feel like I’m a lot more comfortable now being open and honest with myself.

‘There’s so many bits of advice I feel like I missed out on during pregnancy which people just don’t talk about, like having a C-section.
‘It is a major surgery and because it was an emergency operation, it was traumatic and a lot to heal from. I am just trying to listen to my body and accept the changes.
‘I used to love being on top of my fitness but now I have to let myself heal and not rush things. I don’t need to beat myself up about it.’
