Kate Hudson gets pretty in Prada dress to promote Sia’s controversial directorial debut Music

On Wednesday, Oscar nominee Kate Hudson donned a nude silk-and-lace Prada dress to virtually promote Sia Furler’s directorial debut Music to the HFPA, which runs the Golden Globe Awards.

‘Started the year off with a little press (at home) for upcoming musical I did with @siamusic,’ the 41-year-old daughter of Goldie Hawn – who boasts 13.9M Instagram/Facebook followers – wrote.

‘This film is so special to us, an original piece of art by a visual master. Love you @siamusic! Can’t wait for everyone to see it.’

Kate famously shaved her head in 2017 to replace disgraced actor Shia LaBeouf in the role of newly-sober drug dealer Zu for the musical drama, which hits US theaters on February 12 and UK theaters on February 19.

But it was the casting of the Australian 45-year-old’s longtime muse Maddie Ziegler as Zu’s autistic teenage half-sister Music, which caused the most controversy.

On November 20, Sia went on an insensitive Twitter tirade defending her decision to not cast an authentically autistic actor.

‘I actually tried working with a a beautiful young girl non-verbal on the spectrum and she found it unpleasant and stressful. So that’s why I cast Maddie,’ the nine-time Grammy winner wrote

‘As I said, there are thirteen people on the spectrum in the movie…Grrrrrrrrrr. F***ity f*** why don’t you watch my film before you judge it? FURY.’

Sia added: ‘The character is based completely on my neuro atypical friend. He found it too stressful being non verbal, and I made this movie with nothing but love for him and his mother.’
