Katharine McPhee, 37, and David Foster, 71, step out for the FIRST TIME with son Rennie

Katharine McPhee and husband David Foster, 71, were spotted out for the first time with their newborn son Rennie on Thursday as they enjoyed brunch in Beverly Hills.

The family dined outdoors at the swanky Maybourne Hotel with a select group of friends in celebration of McPhee’s 37th birthday.

Katharine, who welcomed her first child with David in late February, looked every bit the doting mother as she tenderly cradled Rennie in her arms at their designated dining table.

Clearly smitten, Katharine pressed her son’s head to her cheek before planting a few kisses on him.

The tiny newborn looked sweet in a bright white onesie and flailed around in his mother’s arms as she continued to coddle him. 

Katharine and David were first seen arriving to the upscale establishment with Rennie stowed away safely in a padded baby carrier, which Katharine handled with ease.

The Waitress actress looked spring-ready in a colorful floral mini dress with a plunging neckline that allowed her to show off her smooth décolletage.

Due to the breezy weather, Katharine layered up her ensemble with an ivory cable knit cardigan that hung just past her dress.

She had a myriad of gold chains hung around her neck and a pair of gold hoops in her ears.

McPhee’s brunette hair was parted down the middle and styled into a chic low ponytail and sported a natural, flushed makeup look. 

While Katharine took control of the baby carrier, David lugged their belongings around in a blue Givenchy tote that he carried in one hand.

The 71-year-old musician cut a stylish figure to celebrate his wife’s birthday in a pair of distressed denim jeans and a pale blue button down shirt.

Foster braved the uncharacteristically chilly SoCal weather in a navy blue jacket.

After enjoying their delicious brunch with pals, the married couple fled the establishment and made their way towards their black SUV. 

Rennie looked incredibly cozy in his carrier, while being wrapped in a white and grey patterned baby blanket.

Adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols, McPhee and Foster made sure to don face masks. 

Katharine effortlessly set-up their newborn in the backseat of the car, while David hopped into the driver’s seat.

Katharine’s representative announced famously announced Rennie’s birth in late February telling People: ‘Mom, Dad and son are all doing wonderfully.’

Rennie is Katharine’s firstborn child but David also has five daughters – four of whom are older than their current stepmother. 

McPhee finally revealed the name of her newborn son, while making a remote appearance on Today earlier this month.

‘My husband probably will kill me for saying it, but his name is Rennie David Foster,’ she dished.

She explained to the Today host that her and David ‘had a couple names [picked out], but my husband was on a text chain with his sisters and one of his sisters suggested an old family name.’

The Smash star continued: ‘It was his great-grandfather’s name, his great-uncle’s name, so it has a long history in his family.’
