Katy Perry SLAMMED by fans for promoting her father Keith Hudson’s nonpartisan t-shirt business

Katy Perry called on her massive Instagram following to check out her father Keith Hudson and brother David’s nonpartisan clothing brand Nothing But American on Friday.

‘We haven’t always seen [eye] to [eye] but I’m proud of my dad n bro for coming up with this! Head to @NothingButAmerican store for the vibes,’ urged the singer, 36, who included a video of her father rocking the seemingly patriotic gear.

But fans were eager to voice their dissatisfaction towards Perry’s sales pitch and openly critiqued her for the tone deaf nature of the post.

In the Instagram advertisement for Nothing But American, Keith hypothetically asks ‘are you tired of the division that is destroying our country?’

Standing in front of an ivory curtain, the renown Pentecostal pastor uttered: ‘Are you sick of losing your family and friends because they just don’t agree with your political views?’

After posing a few more hypotheticals for his Instagram audience, Hudson passionately states declares that ‘no matter what you believe, at the end of the day we are all Americans.’

Keith explains that ‘[he] designed this tee shirt because [he] wants people to know that even though you may have a different religion or different political view than [he does] that [he] will still be there for you and still consider you [his] friend, [his] neighbor, and fellow American.’

‘So, join me and make a bold statement of unity and togetherness,’ exclaimed Hudson, before advertising the official Nothing But American website.

There is also a tee that has the phrase, ‘Not a Republican. Not a Democrat. I am an American’ plastered across the front of it that costs $19.99 and comes in black, grey, and white styles.

‘You have [been] my literal backbone for 10 years, and this has to be the most tone deaf and white washed thing I’ve ever seen,’ began one devout Katy follower by the username madilouise_xo.

On November 8, Perry admitted via Twitter that once Joe Biden won the United States Presidential election she contacted her family to express her love and unity.

‘The first thing I did when the presidency was called is text and call my family members who do not agree and tell them I love them and am here for them,’ she tweeted.

She included the hashtag ‘#FamilyFirst’ and urged her 109million Twitter followers to ‘Call [their] family today,’ despite the human rights issues at play.

Citing a personal experience, one user by the name itsevren stated that they would ‘rather not (re)connect with people who intentionally voted against [their] rights and immigrant family.’

‘Girl why are you purposely throwing your whole career down the drain!!!’ wrote one confused Instagram spectator.

One comment that struck a cord with many was one left by the Grammy nominee’s longtime pal Markus Molinari.

‘Im sorry, I LOVE YOU but this is a HUGE NO for me! It’s not a political issue. It’s ‘straight’ up a human rights issue,’ began the acclaimed jewelry designer in Perry’s comment section.

Citing a a poignant quote, Molinari wrote: ‘”Why are we continuing to allow systemic racism to exist and continue to justify the oppression of a single group for more than 400 years? Everyone deserves the right to be able to jog, drive a car, cash a check, or sleep in their own bed without fear of a death sentence because of the color of their skin.

‘”The Trump Administration’s decision to reverse the Obama-era rule that encompasses gender identity in the sex definition of the Affordable Care Act is an act of discrimination and purposeful inequality.

‘”This is about human respect, and right now we need to take a good look at ourselves and ask who we are becoming if we are justifying or advocating against the barest rights imaginable..”‘ concluded the quote.

Adding their own two-cents, Markus emphasized that ‘It’s NOT right’ to just cover it up with a T-Shirt.’

Despite the predominantly negative comment section, Katy has yet to respond to or take down the controversial advertisement.

Instead, the mother of one returned to Instagram on Saturday to post a jarring video of herself fully made up as she stood barefoot among an array of picturesque greenery.
